The best advice ever for being around new babies: They only SEEM really squeezable- so take it easy:)

Thanks everybody I've got a couple of pictures, one thing though. he was born a month early so he is on oxygen in the pictures but he is now off that. He's going to be in the hospital for up to 5 weeks, but should be sooner. He is a big baby though so thats in his favor. He did get a little bruised coming out though.

Yeah, I wish I had pictures from today, but unfortunately I don't. He was really swollen in those pictures, and the swelling went down. I took the hour trip to the hospital today to go see him some more, hopefully so that I could hold him. But unfortunatly he can only be taken out from under the heatlamp for a few minutes a day. But for some good news, he is digesting all the food he eats and doesn't puke any up. And he pooped TWICE today. I'm so proud of him. OH and now you can see his neck. Hes still got some big cheeks though. Im just sad I wasn't even allowed to really touch him. Because he needs his rest and that could wake him up. but I got to give him a kiss goodnight before we left. So i'm pretty content with that. I just can't wait for him to come home.

Oh I do have a funny story to tell. See he is in the NICU (the baby Intensive care unit) because he was born 5 weeks early, but he is really healthy besides that. so when yo go and see him, you have to go in 2 at a time. So I go in there today, and hes sleeping there, getting a tan from the lamps. So I sit there and start talking to him, ya know nice and low so it won't wake him up. And i'm all by myself sitting there watching him, and I start hearing beeping from the computer hes hooked up to that watches his stats and stuff for the nurses. And I start seeing lines on the screen go crazy and then go flat, and im thinking, after watching soo many tv shows and movies where the line goes flat means they die. So i'm about to bug out, and I look to the nurse and say. "WHats wrong with my nephew? the screen here just got a flatline." And she looks to me and laughs a little and says. "Silly thats not your nephew." So i'm like thinking in my head that they moved the baby on me, and now this baby is dieing and i'm right next to it. so then i'm like. "Then whos baby is this? and why is the screen flatlining? is the baby dieing?" And at this point i'm on the verge of flipping out. And she starts busting out laughing and says " NO NO NO, thats your nephew, but the computer isn't, whenever a baby is in trouble it shows the stats on each computer, and don't worry about that baby, he just kicked off the pads that read his vitals"

Now thats not word for word, because my memory is shit, but thats what happened. Looking back at it, it was kinda funny.
