The Ghost of Mae Nak

It's good- but not great.

Kokkuri, perhaps?

You can skip Apartment 1303, It wasn't scary and kinda stupid film. I didn't enjoy it at all. Instead you can try APT...at least better than 1303 with some good creepy scene.
Arang wasn't bad...a good horror thriller, Cinderella is a mediocre one and The Victim will probably pissed you off after the 1st half...they just simply ruined the fine story. So you can skip it too. Kwaidan was kinda boring but a classic one, I liked the 2nd story. Add Ghost Train with Apartment 1303 & The Victim and avoid this films. I saw Eye 10 - Gin gwai 10 recently...it wasn't bad, kinda funny instead.

I haven't seen the other films.

But as a good fan of Asian Horror I like to recommend the following movie:
1) Alone (Thai Horror...quite creepy!)
2) Into the Mirror (Korean Horror...far & far better than Aja's remake, definitely worth a watch)
3) Koma (a good psychological thriller)

Like chorno, besides the horror, I'll also recommend Park's the vengeance trilogy plus Memories of Murder...a very good detective drama. These films may provide you a series of unforgettable and fascinating movie experience.

I'll have him read the synopsis on this one and see if he thinks it sounds interesting...Thanks for the recommendation :)

Thanks for these, I have heard of Koma, but didn't really look into it, I will now...Alone and Into The Mirror seem promising, we'll definitely see what those are about...I don't think he'd really go for a 'detective drama' but I'll see what he says...I saw a synopsis for APT when I was checking out these others, I almost added it to the list, I can't remember why I didn't, but I'll look at it again

Thanks SOOO much for all your help, guys...You're awesome :)

Has anyone mentioned "A Tale of Two Sisters" ? That one is definitely worth a look.

Ewww, seriously...I didn't like that one...There were 2 or 3 really good scenes, but overall the movie was too confusing...I just really didn't like it at all...But, at least we didn't throw it away...:)

agreed, I think Kokkuri is the worst Asian movie I've seen to date.

Asian horror movies are much better than American ones. Especially the American remakes of the asian originals...
