I thought it was a miserable waste of time with some impressive acting.

Haha, good idea.
Mainly, I was just left wondering, "What was the point?"

Like "The Omen" remake? ...What a waste of film that piece of shit was.
On the topic of stupid remakes have you heard they're remaking Footloose? My only question is... WHY???

Who was it? Someone here went and saw it and left after 10 minutes?

Was it The Return ?

I don't think I have ever walked out of a movie, maybe this is somthing he does a lot, or maybe it was just that bad, but I recall his decision to leave was affected by peer presure...

Anyway, I'm suprised there is so much positive energy for this flick here to be honest. I've only seen the trailer and wasn't interested in it one bit.

Yeah, exactly. It is just was so aggravating sitting in that theater thinking, "This film has nothing to offer me. What is the point? Why should I care about any of this after the original?" and I was getting genuinely pissed off.

And on Footloose, I don't even ask anymore.

Last House wasn't bad (certainly better than Chaos), but it didn't bring anything new to the table. In fact, it took away elements of the original film that really made it great. I didn't hate it, didn't even regret seeing it in the theater, but I didn't love it by any means. There's some competent acting, a good amount of gore, and a simple story holding all the (derivative) little bits and pieces together.

Yeah, that was me - we might have got about half an hour (peeled just after the bad guys got to the house). You're right on the peer pressure part...but I still wasn't too pissed about missing it.

Personally, I'll usually stick with a movie no matter how awful it is. I can only think of maybe 3 movies that I've stopped mid-viewing, and I almost always revisit them at some point. But I went to this one with a group of friends, 2 of which were very squeamish girls. They left right after the rape scene, leaving me and one other guy. We watched another 10 minutes or so, looked at each other and figured it really wasn't worth sticking around.

Based on the film's own merits...it was pretty awful, but I still would have normally watched the rest (if not just for the fact that I bought a ticket). But compared to a night cruising around town with friends - no contest.
