..so now I watched your trailer...its hard to make a believable zombie movie...do you only make zombie ? ...or slashers too ?

50BCPRODUCTIONS 02-03-2006 11:03 AM

I am right outside of Reading Pa,while my film partner resides in Lancaster,Pa.
Agreed...it is hard to make a believable Zombie film.
When I first saw the original DOTD,I was 8 years old...and the feeling I got from watching it creeped me out for days.
Its something we wanted to give back to the Horror community which Hollywood wont or cant do anymore.
I am in no way comparing us to "DOTD",but after watching a slew of indie Zombie films in the past 2 years,I think we are the closest in feeling.
Plus, throw in the claustrophobia and suspense of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and you will have a good idea of what we are after.
I directed a short 4 minute slasher mini movie to gain financing for the feature entitled "NOT ALONE"and it will premeire on the 50BC site within the next 2 months.
If you like Slasher flicks, youy are going to want to check this one out!
Its funny,so many directors try to get away from doing Horror, yet my whole life thats all I have wanted to do.
Make good Horror films for Horror fans.
We will do anything,Slasher,Zombie...as long as its scary.
Thanks for checking them out!

i found this short film - not really the premium blend horror that cradles us to sleep in our leather underwear, but a nice short film nevertheless:

haunted

hey fellow filmmaker :) we're not that far from each other. good to see another indie close by making a zombie as well. we should trade when all is said and done.

Thank you. I've been away so long becaue the darn things chafed so bad.

OK, now this will seem a bit spammy, but I really am offering it as a resource, really. I set up a MySPace account for people to drop their trailers on. RIght now there are only two and it's really sad, so if you have a movie trailer you want a few more people to see just leave it as a comment. Fair enough? Or too spammy?

WereJoe 04-24-2006 05:28 PM

Not spammy at all, thanks for letting me know about your myspace page, tomorrow at work I'll check it out and hopefully be able to send you a trailer.

Cool. Like I said we could use the content. Although Troma provided some code and I posted some stuff, so there are 9 or so video clips on there now.

We are also trying to use the blogs as bulleting boards, but that hasn't caught on yet.

September brings Shock-o-Rama!

Hey, I'll pimp then!

This september, Brett Piper's newest fear fest "Shock-o-Rama" hits stores, and it is a wild ride. If you are into the olden days of wild Drive In movies with Attractive Ladies, Wild Effects, and a Colossal Brain! No kidding here, its as close as you can get to the drive in without having to turn the engine on halfway through out of fear of the battery going dead.

Available at Amazon.com as well as most video retailers.

When Evil Reigns

Hi everyone,

I'd like to invite you to check out the website for mine and my brother's upcoming Indie horror movie, 'When Evil Reigns'. Here's the blurb:

When Evil Reigns is the debut feature film for Australian brothers Luke and Alix Jackson. Working with a budget of only $5000 and a technically inexperienced cast and crew, Luke and Alix fought to develop the film from an ambitious dream into a finished product. With a straight-to-DVD release lined up in the USA, 2006 promises to be a big year for these brothers from down-under.

On the website, you'll find a more detailed decription of the film, some scenes to download, and the latest news and reviews. We always love to hear from horror fans.

You'll find 'When Evil Reigns' Online at www.whenevilreigns.com

Also, you might like to check out a cool write-up by the ABC, one of Australia's largest news services, about our filmmaking process. It's perfect for those of you thinking about starting this sort of project yourselves: http://www.abc.net.au/news/arts/arti...5/s1634689.htm

Luke.

tonemeister 07-30-2006 12:13 AM

well our film "Last Rites of the Dead" is now completed and we've scheduled a premiere in nyc in august. can't wait to see it on the big screen and see what a live audience thinks of it :)

Suspiria 666 08-26-2006 05:30 AM

Well I just finished my movie:)

Suspiria 666 08-27-2006 02:32 PM

This thread sucks

trx1 06-15-2007 07:13 AM

i want to see LROTD.. sounds fun. now where can i either:
see it online
get a copy somewhere

MisterSadistro 06-15-2007 05:21 PM

Since someone here who prefers remakes and insists I must be working on "a piece of crap", I'll throw the trailer on for anyone interested to decide for themselves (even though I detest spamming, it's still upcoming and indie):

'The Shrieking'

damn. I can't remember for the life of me how I included YouTube videos in my signature a few months ago. Did the board style change ?

nm. I remember. I just can't post it directly on thread.
