I doubt either show had or will have "plenty of sex! lol"...

Elvis_Christ 08-19-2005 11:12 PM

I've recently brought the series of it and am slowly making my way thru it. Basically a Tales From The Crypt rip off with Freddy hosting....

...No it's not like the movie, freddy introduces each show of the week....it's more or less like tales from the crypt...

Wait, you fell asleep during all of the NOES flicks, but one of your favorite horror movies is Freddy vs. Jason? Makes no sense at all!

BexTC 09-03-2005 05:35 AM

I loved Freddy's Nightmares. I would love to get them on dvd... does anyone knoow if they are avalible?

ChEEbA 09-03-2005 06:23 AM

I remember Freddys Nightmares.
I know at least SOME of them are available on vhs (anytime you hire it you'll notice the shitty, bent claw on the top of the box), not sure about dvd though.

Ive mentioned this before in a thread way back when, my favourite episode, in fact, the only one I have a clear recollection of whatsoever...however, only in events, not in title.
The story followed a detective investigating a greusome kinda scene at a house. I THINK someone was meant to have been on a killing spree in the same style or something. There at the crimescene was always a chair with a ring of blood on the floor around it. I don't think he ever made that much progress but he tried and tried to figure it out, but there just didn't seem to be ny evidence at all...and then when he'd finally given up, he returns to the crimescene house, starts drinkin' and falls asleep in his chair, he "awakens" in the same room, but really dreaming, freddy appears...some dialogue..., freddy slashes the guys throat and spins the chair around, thus recreating the scene on top of itself.
I remember thinking this was one of the cooler ones. Actually, I never liked many of the rest that much...then again, they never broadcast them all here, only about 3 or 4 as I recall.

About the series on dvd, Id reccomend hitting up ebay. For almost every series that hasn't been released OFFICIALLY, somebody has put together a dvd...MANY complete series out there, that said - I in no way endorse piracy, and only reccomend these means as they are not yet made available to the public by those that would only profit from it anyway. ;)

ADOM 09-11-2005 12:00 AM

I remembner this show existing, but do not remember one single episode that I saw.

wookie 09-18-2005 06:30 AM

'Freddys Nightmares' it was called..

Though it was terrible!

According to DVDaf, theres a R2 release with 3 episodes, released by Warner.

socialpurge 10-20-2005 07:01 PM

Nightmares rocked

I think Freddy would make a wonderful husband.

Elvis_Christ 10-20-2005 09:45 PM

I've got the 10 episode pack Virgin brought out about '89. Didn't
know there was so many episodes tho

giallobelly 11-05-2005 04:17 PM

I remember watching Freddy's Nightmares a couple times back in '88 or so and I loved it. Haven't seen it since but I'll have to keep my eye out for torrents.

VampiricClown 11-17-2005 04:51 PM

There is a real dvd out there I think. I'm just at a stand still on where to get it. I'd really like to see them. I don't like ebay all that much though.

Sad thing is that I know Kitty in person, as in off of horror.com for those who can't take a hint. I'm not going to insult her, since it's against the rules, but I will say that I should've known not to ask her. Thanks for the heads up Return! :)
