Check out some samples of the score... it's a full symphonic score - with actual melodies!
As a musician turned screenwriter I have to say that this is the coolest thing about the film so far. An actual score to the movie I co-wrote! I still haven't seen the entire film, but I'm supposed to see a screening of it next week.

I'm getting more and more excited about this!!!!!

Holy smokes, great music!
I can even picture the opening credits now...

Holy shit that's fantastic......I have nothing to do with this movie and I had a little movement in my genital area......you must be walking around with a huge boner.

remember....if it last longer than 4 hours.....go see a doctor

hammerfan 12-05-2008 10:02 AM

Fantastic music! I'm really excited to see this. This will be one of the few movies that I go to the theater to see.

not exactly at full turgidity, but when I hear the music I do get a little flutter downstairs

bwind22 12-05-2008 10:56 AM

I'm out the door to work so I can't listen to it right now, but I'm guessing it must sound like porn music from all the genital motion going on here.

missmacabre 12-05-2008 10:59 AM

The score sounds wonderful so far. :)

quick update --

I still have not seen the movie.
There is a single 35mm print in existance and it has been screened for several distrubuters her in Hollywood (with really positive response) and now the print is in Europe screening for European distributors and (as rumor would have it) a certain American director who asked to see it while he's still filming in Germany.

I should be seeing it soon and I'm freaking out.

But...I just got the full soudtrack in the mail from composer Marco Werba. Such wonderful stuff. He did a fantastic job and I'm sure he is soon to be well-known film composer. The soundtrack will be released on the Varese Sarabande label - no release date set as of yet.

Still no confirmed word on a release date for the film - I will let you all know just as soon as I do.

Elvis_Christ 02-02-2009 03:08 PM

Varese Sarabande bring out some great stuff.

Any word on the Australasian release? After Mother Of Tears I'm really excited about checking this one out.

You're sure there is a movie coming out at some point?

Sure you're not just...... PULLING OUR LEGS?!!!!

neverending 02-02-2009 03:13 PM

Well, that's just rude not letting you attend a screening!

the prodcos that have been screening it all have thier own private screening rooms - when there is a more open screening, I will certainly be there.

It would be a rather impressive ruse if it were simply a hoax - hmmmm;)

Bah- you're the WRITER! If it weren't for you there wouldn't be a movie! Writers get no respect in Hollywood!

yeah, but we also rarely assume the blame:D Write a box-office bomb and you'll still get hired again. Direct a bomb and you go to director's jail. I'm at peace with it.

fortunato 02-02-2009 06:30 PM

Anticipation, for sure.

Looking forward to a lengthy review from you.

Roderick Usher 04-30-2009 08:13 AM

no Cannes Film Festival for GIALLO so...

Scotland gets to see it first!

http://www.edfilmfest.org.uk/news/20...t-the-appetite

GIALLO will have its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Fest as part of the Night Moves series

"Night Moves features a World Premiere of genre legend Dario Argento's latest, Giallo, and a UK Premiere for the eagerly-awaited blaxploitation pastiche, Black Dynamite."

I don't think Rod's gonna be there though.

Roderick Usher 05-01-2009 08:12 AM

I'm going to try to make it... I should be coming into some money soon!;)

Disease 05-07-2009 02:34 PM

http://retroslashers.net/blog/spaghe...ashers-giallo/

a cool article on GIALLO and, in case some of you missed the other news....

"Dario Argento’s GIALLO has two fans in Roth and Quentin Tarantino. They watched it at Tarantino’s house the other week and had a great time with the story of a missing airhostess’ sister being tortured by a creepy yellow maniac in Turin’s gasworks."

Elvis_Christ 05-21-2009 04:30 PM

Did they send a print around to people that might be interested in getting it screened etc?

There is a single 35mm print of the film right now. No digital version exists.

Distributers are lining up I'l let you know about release dates as they come together.

Anyone going to be in Spain in October? GIALLO is playing the Sitges Festival (a fabulous genre film fest) which is just outside Barcelona.

Elvis_Christ 05-21-2009 04:54 PM

It's been really interesting seeing all this come together. There's quite a lot of work goes in before a film is released! You must be hanging out to see the finished product! You'll be sipping cocktails with Tarantino in no time bro :D

an interview with... ME

newb 05-27-2009 06:32 AM

Very nice interview, Sean. But it should have read like this....

Not content to limit himself to writing for the screen, Sean Keller occupies his time pursuing other creative outlets and ways to explore and hone his craft. ‘I write as much as I can in as many varied formats as possible’, he explains. ‘I am trying to publish a volume of creepy kids’ poems called Underneath the Bed, and I’m writing comic book scripts too. I have also published a couple of short stories and I’m writing songs for an upcoming album. I also am a member of the best "horror" forum on the internet. HDC or Horror.Com , which I get many of my ideas from because the posters there are wonderful, especially newb.
