Hahahaha.

Sam is referring to The Hills Have Eyes.

Sam The Egg 01-17-2004 06:56 AM

yeah. That'd be a good match.

Angelakillsluts 01-17-2004 02:17 PM

......

I thought the next generation was a lot better then the latest TCM. My god I think that's the shittiest movie I've ever seen. I wanted to leave, I don't know why I stayed.

Wrong Turn

I just bought Wrong Turn on DVD yesterday and watched it. I thought this was a really good movie. It was different then most of the horror out there today. I didn't get a chance to watch the extras yet but I did watch the deleated scenes and the were nothing special. The DVD was worth it though since FYE is having a mssive sale and I got it for $14.99.

bloodygurl02 01-21-2004 05:21 PM

i liked this movie alot. i was really grossed out at some parts weellmost parts of it. ithink elisa dushku did a great job in this movie

Signs515 01-21-2004 05:43 PM

I thought it would suck, well I was wrong. Definetly reminded me of the 70's horror movies, especially Hills.

Arioch 01-21-2004 05:46 PM

didnt win me over. Too much of the same old same old. And *spoiler*

Shooting the gastank of the car at the end with their 1 remaining bullit, pretty lame AND predictable:rolleyes:

Sam The Egg 01-21-2004 05:47 PM

I actually think they should've gone further with the 'Hills Have Eyes' style. Make it a revenge horror movie. I doubt they'd get away with hardly any revenge horror scenes, though.
But hey, Chris was a doctor, maybe they could use the 'scalpel' idea from Last House on the Left (Wes wanted a scalpel, Sean wanted a chainsaw. The scalpel would've been more imaginative)

That would have made a much better movie but I'm afraid those days are probably gone :(.

predfan 01-21-2004 06:48 PM

i liked this movie a lot. it was scary, had some gore, and really dragged you in to its world.

xshiny_demonx 01-22-2004 05:08 PM

...yea, it was pretty damn decent, a few corny parts. but over all pretty enjoyable.

predfan 01-23-2004 05:07 PM

anyone seen the dvd special features? are they any good?

alixzander 02-22-2004 04:29 PM

wrong turn

i was just wondering what everyone thought about wrong turn. i personally liked it.

Shade 02-22-2004 04:32 PM

I saw this movie in an empty theater so it had a nice effect that way. Made me jump quite a few times and stayed with me while walking through the woods afterwards >.>;.

kpropain 02-22-2004 04:33 PM

Bump

kpropain 02-22-2004 04:35 PM

Wow what a genius:eek: There is already a thread for this movie

alixzander 02-22-2004 04:46 PM

none

sorry i didn't see the first thread. damn i feel stupid:(

Arioch 02-22-2004 05:41 PM

Personally this movie bored the shit out of me. It brings nothing original to the table and only perpetuates the same stale stereotypes the genres been beating to death. Everything this movie tried to do has been done better somewhere else.

Copy/paste lol. Thats what you get for making the same thread again.;)

Arioch 02-22-2004 05:54 PM

It borrowed ALOT from TCM, with the whole family thing. The hottest main character lives to the end, everyone else dies. The deaths were lack luster (maybe except the barbed wire one which was actually too fast to really see what happened).

It had a really predictible plot, and the ending blowing up the car with their last bullet. Thats as lame as it gets, i saw that coming a million years ago. Im not saying its a terrible movie, it just really didnt do anything for me and i think TCM, Last House, and others of this genre own all over it.

That's cool. But I think that most of the remake and original horrors made today are aimed at the generation of today. In other words what we think is classic, they think is cheesy and corny. What we think suck, they think is great. Of course anyone who thinks TCM original sucks isn't really a cult horror fan.
Agreed. And maybe thats part of the reason i have grown to detest these movies to such a degree. Because i know they are no longer aimed at me and my generation.

Killer Clown#1 02-22-2004 06:26 PM

Somone tell me why the fuck there are two of these threads right next to each other????!!!! I made the original one god damit, now just stick with it!!!

agree. But are there issues that cause your hostilities that you're not sharing w/ us?
Alright i hate this movie because it reminds me of the pitiful TCM remake that i paid $8 for. Ill admit it...

Arioch 02-22-2004 06:56 PM

Whats funny is that neither of these threads are made by him lol.WTF???

Sister_Blister 02-23-2004 01:52 PM

I liked Wrong Turn, lots of gore, and scary but in a non-ghostly way. I wouldn't have been messing with those inbreeds that's for sure. It was predictable too, but I liked it nonetheless

i enjoyed it. i really wasn't expecting much...basically a typical hollywood horror, and that's what i got. reminded me of the one episode of the x-files, which was scary as shit.

Leslie Daher 02-27-2004 09:22 AM

i LOVE this movie!! it's by far one of my favs! it was a little like some others i had seen but i thought it was quality. infact, i paid the full $20 for the dvd and hadn't even seen it. it was great! it was the first time i'd ever seen desmond harrington and i think he was AWESOME! wrong turn was the first horror movie i've seen in a very long time that actually got my so interested i screamed at the tv screen! it was awesome!

Holy shit, it's someone I can agree with. Both of these movies were a waste of my valuable time and money. However, I did get to eyeball Dushku...and that was fun.

Arioch 02-29-2004 04:12 PM

28 Days Later Owns. I think im gonna watch it right......NOW!!

Bay Area $avage 03-02-2004 09:38 PM

I dug it. No it wasn't the greatest film ever, but it was nostalgic of the old-school slashers and more importantly-it beats the SHIT out of "FearDotCom" and "House Of The Dead."
