MAN 1. Is this the right room for an argument?

MAN 2. I've told you once.

MAN 1. No you haven't.

MAN 2. Yes, I have.

MAN 1. When?

MAN 2. Just now!

I figure ..the man has his points and has his own way of putting them across..
its not to everyones taste as to how he expresses himself .
But then , not many members make sense anyway..
em a good example on this matter. 'blush'
Sometimes its the way i word myself..where other members take offence
n think em being downright catty..
its all in the wording .:D

Deposable wasn't really responding to anything specific that Cheeba said 'in general'...Just the incident that happened right before Cheeba got banned...
No, I don't think that was the case. He was uninvolved and as far as I'm aware, not present until sometime after the fact.
I'm pretty sure what he said was without any, or very little knowledge of the incident you referr to (other than my being banned), it was just another oppertunity. If a person is able to freely antagonise another (regardless of someone having short fuse or not) or take every opening to express their negativity towards another, if that all comes under "it's ok because it's just an opinion" or "it's ok as long as you don't think they're present at the time",...I think it's something that ought to be stopped. It's not the act as much as the intent, and I'd think in this case it was clear.
Also...BR, perhaps you could have disposable remove his sig quote...as pitifully obvious a forgery of "me" this is, it's still pretty offensive, and part of what I see as an ongoing attempt to put me down and/or to evoke a negative reaction, which I'm sure is really gratifying to someone well, like him, but something I think I've tolerated long enough.

Of course if we consider that having a short fuse is not the norm, then provoking it might not necessarily mean somebody has stepped out of line - only perhaps in the view of the person with the short fuse concerned. I would say it is up to that individual to fall into line with the general protocol, rather than for the forum to create special needs situations which could be neverending and open to far too much interpretation. My simianophobic condition would never lead to less monkey references being actioned, for example.

So far as a libellous false quote is concerned, I agree it is out of order.

I made that assessment based on the fact that his offending post to you was made in a thread where your banning had been discussed...
