Villain, what's your favorite Laymon novel? Wizard, who are your favorite authors?

so many horror authors iv yet to discover,but so far iv liked jack ketchum,laymon,clive barker (horror novels mainly)lovecraft.edgar allen poe,a few john sauls
joe hill,tim lebbon iv only read short storys but they seem really good.

Tim Lebbon is the only one of those I haven't read yet but I hear great things. I own one of his books, The Everlasting, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

wow you have read all those authors!iv been wasting my time reading stephen king and dean koonts books to long,spose its just there soo available
iv just read "the best of the best mammoth book of new" horror which introduced me to a hole lot of new authors as well,which had a few in that list.
iv got soo many to discover but it takes a while, a book aint like watching a quick flick
i just finished a james herbert"the ghost of sleath"
oh and iv his novel 48 in the same volume but i think i wanna try the ramsey campell , neil gaimen books first and try straub again

Seriously though, check out Dan Simmons Summer of Night, if you like King's It you'll probably like this one.

Straub's Ghost Story is also similar to It. Or I should say It is similar to Ghost Story.

Didn't think they were similar at all, now Floating Dragon was very similar. It had a character in it nicknamed "The Dragon" who definitely reminded me of Pennywise and he murdered children. There was a house in it that was similar to the house on Neibolt Street in that it was like a funhouse. Just like The Losers, there was a group of people that had to join together to fight the Dragon.

Thanks. I've read all those by Laymon. Really liked them except The Woods are Dark. I hated that one. The Traveling Vampire Show is one of my favorite books and my favorite by him. You should check out Savage, Island, Funland, In The Dark....I could go on and on. The only other one i havent liked by him so far is Resurrection Dreams

It's funny. That's the book of his i like the least. Not bad though. Strange Magic though is perfect.

I have that sitting on my shelf. Gonna have to get to it soon.

I liked Strange Magic, just not as much as Crimson, I haven't read Jigsaw Man yet.
