Newb, I'm sorry.:( It's just that I had a really great guidance counselor my first two years of middle school. She saved my life. 'Course, it was then that I learned of my impending battle with mental illness.

I would assume that reading this girl's plight hits you in the solar plexis, being a father and all. I'm sure most of the parents on board don't like to know that a young person is in danger of their parents. I only have dogs and cats, but it bothers me something dreadful.

Scary, you need to find someone you trust and talk to them about what's going on at home.

What should I do.
 

Scaryminda, Belive it or not, you will survive. A lot of kids have less than good parents, and butthead brothers.Try not to do anything rash like runaway from home or anything. If you think things are bad at home, the streets are a heck of a lot more dangerous.Also, consider this, If your father did not care about you at least at some level, he would not have come loking for you when it was geting late. Its hard to be a teen I know this, but, try to think before you do anything you will regret.

Survival... That's what stands out in my mind. I learned this the hard way: You absolutely positively and totally and completely CANNOT, I reapeat, CANNOT allow yourself to be a victim. You've GOT TO BE, repeat, GOT TO BE a SURVIVOR! Like I said, I learned that the hard way. You gotta fight. Once again, go to trusted teachers, guidance counsellors, and other adults that can help you. Pull your little self up by the boot straps and SURVIVE!

Scary, i´m not suggesting that you should run away or anything like that. BUT you mentioned that you were doing pretty well in school, right? Well, my best advice to you would be to move to college as soon as possible.

please please call me Minda, and i am grateful for your opinions and advice, but i am in a good school and im in Parkway and it is really fun and exciting. I am puting school first because i am proving to myself and to others that i can go to college. My dad really isnt that bad once u get to know him sometimes he can be a pain but he does it for my protection and he isnt racist he just didnt want me near boys at my friends house which mean he is a caring father. thank u for your concerns and cheeba i cant kill or really hurt someone i am to much of a softy ok so thanks for everything but i will be alright, good poem haunted !:) k see ya.
