Truffles are tasteless unless done right, and not worth the money IMO.

For those who aren't entirely sure what these are:

Foie Gras - Duck liver
Truffles - Rare type of mushroom that grows underground

I'll choose the truffles...I haven't tried them, but I prefer mushrooms over liver

Actually truffles along with mushrooms are both members of the Fungi family..

Trufles only grow in a few small parts of the world, some small area in Italy and one or two others.

3-1 in favor of liver (Classic Foie Gras is goose liver, but it includes duck liver these days)


truffles are good, but that definately depends on how they are used. If you use too much, you end up with a musky dirt flavor

The pate has a lot more seasoning...Kinda like the difference between a pork chop and sausage...Well, more like the difference between beef liver and braunsweiger
