hey MD, did you find out about Possession as one of my recommends from ages ago or did you happen upon it on your own ?

I'm not sure. I remember hearing something about it somewhere and renting it when I was desperate for new movies to watch. I don't see a movie replacing it as my #1 favorite for a long time though, wow I need to watch it now. :p

been one of my favorites for many years.

(even though the ending depresses the hell out of me - freaking terrifying - and anything with kids upsets me - i'm an easy mark


i LOVE the german guy - he really makes the film - great camerawork as well.

Meant to pick up Possession the other day while I was at the store... might give it a day in court sometime this week

Is [REC] going to have a theatrical release when it comes out here? or is there an american remake in the works?

There is an American remake in the works ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1082868/ ) and I bet they'll release [REC] on DVD around the time that comes out.

too bad, looked forward to maybe having the chance to watch it in a theater. I understand why they're remaking it and can't really fault them, they have to make the movie accessible to the third of americans who can't read.

Yeah, and maybe someday you Canadians will get a version with all the guns replaced digitally with flowers. The zombies can be unicorns.

Anyway, I'm hoping some of the theaters that play the more indie stuff will carry it. The Michigan Theater out here screened Teeth and In Bruges (sp) recently so it's not entirely out of the question.
