Busted!

Oi. Ya got me.

I apologize for the subterfuge, but my partner in filmmaking crime and I spent a buttload of money -- and more than two years of our lives -- completing this project.

Getting any kind of distribution deal -- or even representation -- has been more difficult than we ever imagined. I was desperate for the piece to receive some attention -- posted some bullshit -- and got busted. I deserve your scorn.

For what it's worth, the piece is entirely REAL -- as is all of the blood. As stated in my fake "noodles" post, the color of the blood was enhanced during the telecine project, but it certainly was real.

I apologize for having abused your forum.

Sincerely,

Francis Percarpio
Producer
"Rebel Scum"

PS -- Unlike most documentaries, all "B-Roll" for the piece was originated in film. As such, the piece has an organic look that is -- while pleasing to the eye -- sometimes misinterpreted as "fake."

If all that stuff is real, those are some of the stupidest people ever put on the Earth...

noodles 07-10-2008 10:37 AM

Not really stupid...

...but misguided -- with alcohol and drug problems.

Christopher Scum is actually a very talented songwriter.

I should note that we did not seek these guys out. We were in Tennessee filming a band called Dropsonic for their label. They told us before the show about their opening act, but only upon seeing them perform -- and meeting them -- were we certain there was some kind of story there.

There was a story -- but it's not a story everybody wants to hear...
