Bad Taste reminds me of Psycho - because they're both awesome movies that I fell asleep during upon my first viewing (through no fault of the movies themselves - I was just too tired!)

Psycho reminds me of Nosferatu, because I saw both of them for the first time in my film class.

vampyr reminds me of eraserhead, as they're both dripping with atmosphere and focus more on the experience of watching than following a traditional narrative.

Eraserhead reminds me of Tetsuo - It's clear that Shinya Tsukamoto took a LOT of his inspiration from Lynch and I can't think of one of these films without immediately thinking of the other.

Tetsuo reminds me of Akira - I think this one explains itself if you're familar with the latter.
