I thought Pet Semetary was really boring and the movie was really creepy. I had to force myself to get through the book. I really hated how the book made the father seem like such an insufferable jackass.

sounds like most adaptions

When it comes to Cujo, I hated the movie so I've never been bothered to read the book. From what I read, the book isn't very good either though.

the book did suck ,movie was actually better, and that was partly coz all the bits they left out and changed

I've not read Cujo but heard such bad things about it that I had very low expectations for the movie but actually quite liked it.

Completely agree with you villain about that bloke in the Pet Semetary book

and i never noticed that the father was pictured like a jackass in the book..

there was one short story that freaked me out like no book ever had. called "The Raft". watched it later in Creepshow2, looked pretty lame compared to my imagination.

never beat the imagination
