Sad to see no one posted Halloween 3 yet.

Yeah that's really odd, I just noticed that.

I've always considered Halloween III: Season of the Witch to be a standalone movie, not related to the Halloween franchise at all.

Whatever, it's still a classic Halloween film and it should not be ostracized for not being related to the rest of the Halloween series.

Halloween III pissed off a generation. Everyone was going to feel it was a bait-and-switch.

I loved it as a kid, so no hurt feelings here.

Am I the only one who noticed that everyone hated this movie one day, then as if over night it had a cult following and everyone now loves it?

Personally I hated it. I should probably watch it again to refresh my memory so as to rant proper, but I remember watching it and just hating all the characters and being very frustrated at the ''bad guys'' in the movie.

I, a mere human, when I found out it had nothing to do with Halloween 1&2, I was very disappointed.

I saw it on TV, which I think broadcast very soon after its theatrical release. At that time, I was ready to like it (having seen the TV ads). I remember thinking it had a cool look and sound, but basically had zero impact on me beyond that.

Ya know, I may have missed it, but I don't recall Halloween3 ever having a cult following, including today. If it has a cult following today, I'll jump out on a limb here and say it took more than two decades to develop whatever it has now. = p

I'm looking forward to see it a second time after all these years.

You weren't the least bit disappointed it had nothing to do with the first 2? You're a spunky positive person!

Bait and switcheroo is right. Why not just call it "Season of the Witch"? Or even Silver Shamrock. Would have avoided a lot of backlash. Kind of like the old Friday the 13th TV show. I tune in and there's no Jason!
