Holy Jeepers. So the Pokemon people got in here too...I knew it was only a matter of time. Well, I watch Pokemon. Hell, who doesn't?

Vodstok 02-10-2005 07:01 AM

hey, you are talking about the country that coined the terms "expeshully" and "Pacificly"

My dad was a culinary arts major for one of his degrees, and was a recruiter for "Le Cordon Bleu" program at a local college for a year. I better know my shit :)

I just go with the hot sause, we put hot sause on everything in New Orleans.

Vodstok 02-10-2005 07:05 AM

I thought you guys had sauce?

:D

I loved New Orleans. I'd liek to visit during a time of the year where there arent 1 million transient citizens every day, however...

There was a restauraunt we visited one day, it was near a big ass theater that served daquiris (saw pitch black there :D) called "Mr Big" or Bifggies or something like that. It was a ncie sit-down place. I had a dish called "Catfish Acadiana", it was fried catfish and hoemfries covered in a butter and shrimp sauce. it was in-fucking-credible. New orleans has the best fucking food outside of Paris.

you mean our own hot sause?

the theater you're talking about is the palace (I think).

and as for coming here when there isn't any tourist, good luck.

Vodstok 02-10-2005 07:14 AM

when the main population isnt tourists, basically when its not Mardi Gras or Jazz fest.

And i was making fun of you spelling "sauce" "sause", because i am a jerk :)

Cordon Bleu is winning, 3-0 btw.

kpropain 02-10-2005 07:16 AM

Chicken Cordon Bleu

urgeok 02-10-2005 07:18 AM

hey, you realize those crazy cajuns origionated in canada right ?

Acadians who left .. and introduced french and hard core drinking to the bayou.

I have a buddy who's Acadian descent .. he's a great guy .. but he'll be the first to tell you that they are as crazy as bedbugs.

Good music too ..

even that changed and became something different down there ..

I love zydeco by the way ...

yeah I know what you mean, don't get me wrong I Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest but sometimes you can't even walk through the French Quarter or Canal Street and it gets really irritating.

When i went, it would take over an hour to walk fromt he cats meow to crystal burger on Burbon street. It was pretty ridiculous. Especially the night when the Playboy bunnies went out on their balcony:rolleyes:

I was liek "Cool, expensive tits... I have seen 2000 of them in the past 2 days, whoopdee doo..."

wow it took that long that's only like a few blocks.

and as for the girls on the balconies, that really ticks me off cause that slows it down from the average 20 minutes a block to about an hour.

Stuffed Mushrooms

Vs.

Jalepeno Poppers

http://www.simply-funds.com/images/jalapeno-poppers.jpg

AUSTIN316426808 02-10-2005 11:28 AM

jalepeno poppers

filmmaker2 02-10-2005 11:32 AM

Damn, damn youuuuuu! There's a restaurant down the street that makes great jalapeno poppers, and it's making me want to get some!

BUT, I prefer some nice crab-stuffed mushrooms, though. Those are pretty good. So, I would have to say the stuffed mushrooms. (Thinking about what's in the larder right now.....)

Marroe 02-10-2005 11:35 AM

Poppers!!!!!!!!!!

Mushrooms are evil:mad:

taylorsmommy 02-10-2005 12:32 PM

Poppers as long as it's cream cheese and not cheddar cheese.

filmmaker2 02-10-2005 06:43 PM

NOW...

If you had to choose between a REGULAR CRAB PUFF and a JALAPENO CRAB PUFF, which would it be?

Does anybody make spicy crab stuff? Do hot pepper and crab go together?

You like that idea, don't you??? You know you like it!!!

That reminds me - This one time, I was cleaning my bathroom with some bleach, which I didn't dilute.
I have pet rats, and not that they mean to, but holding them, I always end up with partially shredded hands...I had a few cuts on my fingers and hands, and I was holding a large bleachy sponge. Started to sting, but I dealt with it...when I was finished cleaning, I washed my hands - they felt pretty hot, then I looked at my fingers, which felt kinda bruised, and noticed that the cuts had been melted into by the bleach. Melted craters llover the motherfuckers. Looked kinda cool, but was rather irritating for like a week or two.
Anyways...

I've never had "poppers" of that sort...I don't think we have them over here. The only thing called poppers over here is a brand of that amyll nitrate shit that all the raveheads and fags sniff...not my bag, baby....although I did soak some weed in some once and dried it out - pretty strange result.

Ok, I like mushrooms, yet I also love spicy things...but, the oter ones do look pretty fatty...being as it is I have to take care of my liver since a while back, I'll go with the mushrooms - but I'd make mine spicy as a motherfucker.
