You know come to think of it maybe its " Sugar, Sugar" I'm thinking about back in the day. The Archies did do "Dizzy" but its on an album released in 2008 called Bubblegum Friends, so it can't be that version I'm thinking of!

There was another song out around the same time, "Crimson and Clover" by Tommy James and the Shondells(?). Loved that one as well. Guess I was probably around 11 years old then.

Yes! Loved that one, too. Trippy song! I was probably around the same age.

I had to look up when it was released. ::big grin:: According to Wikipedia, it was released in 1968, which would put me at 9 years old.

The creepy "Blue Turk" from SCHOOL'S OUT (1972) by the Alice Cooper group. Those bass riffs would be great for a horror or film noir flick.

I've been on a bit of a Smiths kick lately. More leaning towards Strangeways, but at times I just put the whole catalog on random. Definitely stuff that gets stuck in your head.

Yeah, totally - In truth I never really got into them (I had a bf back in college who LOVED them and when he broke my heart I had a hard time listening to music that I associated with him). ::wink::

I should definitely revisit them.

Breakups can do that for sure. The Cure is my lifelong favorite band, but to this day I have a tough time listening to Wish because of a college breakup around that time.

However, if your boyfriend was *too* much into the Smiths, I'd have to start to wonder, and you're probably better off without him. ::wink::
