get drunk on the rail road tracks! do you get a conductors hat? Hey, you know a Frankie Little?

knife_fight 05-13-2005 01:04 PM

no, I don't get a hat. I don't think I even know any conductors who wear them.

Nah, I don't know Frankie Little, what railroad does he work for? In Mobile there is the Illinois Central, the Norfolk Southern, the Canadian National, the CSX, the Alabama Gulf, and several others. It might help me place him.... unless Frankie Little is some joke I'm unfamiliar with, like Frankie Little is some new slang for like the toilet, or dooooobies.

I plead the 5th when it comes to drinking on the job.

I like working saute when Im drunk. Its great and surprsingly it doesn't hurt when you get burnt ;) Frankie Little is this gutter punk I know that was living in Mobile. He is in four bands and knows so many people. I just thought I would throw the name out there and see how small the world really is. As far as the joint referances, I would just come out and say it although I wouldn't expect you to answer honestly. If you've ever drivin through daphne or fairhope Im sure you would be a little paranoid of baldwin county police.

knife_fight 05-13-2005 01:17 PM

I grew up in Daphne, but only recently moved back to the area. Daphne and Fairhope cops are nazis, yes. I really don't like the eastern shore area at all anymore.

barbra 05-13-2005 01:28 PM

seems like you should know frankie or fury murry, matt martine any of those, bo? you ever hear of a band called the moon cocks? eastern shore does stink, gulf shores/fo-town/elberta are not so bad though. orange beach though.... I almost want to get paid just to go there, but thats where the keg is and where else in alabama are you going to find a 24/7 bar?

knife_fight 05-13-2005 01:32 PM

Murray... as in Chris Murray? I know him and a guy named Matt, but I haven't really hung out with em since I moved back here. we lost touch when I moved away (about 10 years ago). I've never heard the Moon Cocks either. I'm only familiar with southern Alabama bands from the early to mid 90s, the rest of my time has been spent at college or in Nashville.

knife_fight 05-13-2005 02:02 PM

I hung out with all three of those guys a lot when I was in high school, and right after I got out. Not too long ago I played a show with Chris and he gave me a cd of his stuff, called Cattle Baron or something like that. I also got to catch up with Matt a little bit not too long ago when I saw his band The Hibachi Stranglers.

a studio on ono island. is he like a millionaire or something? maybe he'd give me some money.
