I don't mind being friends with girls, but honestly there aren't many women I like well enough to be friends with. My best friend Kelly, she and I are exactly alike. Neither of us get along well with most women. But when WE met, we hit it off right away, and now I wouldn't trade her for anything. I think false friendliness is a real problem among women....you know how it is, he introduces you to his ex wife and she HUGS and kisses you on the cheek, and then proceeds to try to grab his ass every time she thinks your not looking....
And then you have to kick HER ass.:D

i stand by my definition :

i think a slut is someone who will hurt people willingly in the quest for the next sexual experience..

i have nothing against sluts, i have a friend that i would almost describe as one, that's her choice and as long as she doesn't involve me in the whole mess then live and let live, i'm not going to lose a good friend just because she has loose morals.

i've been labelled a 'slut' on many an occasion.... how did i earn this title? i turned up, at a party, or a 'do' that was mostly couples. i walk into the room and all the women see 'over 25, female, single' and think "can't find a husband of her own, must be after mine" the night just goes downhill from there.

the crowning glory was at a new years eve party in the pub one year, i was with a group of friends and everyone mingling as you do at parties, a guy that came in regularly came and sat at our table for 5 minutes chatting to everyone, he goes away, next thing i know his wife is sitting at the table, takes off her wedding ring, slides it towards me and says "you might as well have this", how fucked up is that... i got up and walked out, don't go to parties anymore.

'slut' is a label that is sooooo easy to acquire and extremely difficult to get rid of, if you're seen with certain people, or in certain places, if you wear provocative clothes, or for all sorts of stupid reasons you'll be labelled a 'slut'. Someone only has to hear you called that once and you have a reputation before morning.... you have to spend a lot of years locked away in your home to dispel labels like that

so no, i don't have a problem with sluts.... but i fucking hate labels

but really - a label is just a thing people use to express the way they are thinking.

a label isnt always negative ... and when it isnt - people dont mind them so much.

the real problem isnt the label - its thought process that causes the label.

i still think it works both ways though .. and this discussion is as old as the hills ... if you wear the uniform of a cop, and act like a cop, and only hang around with cops - and call yourself a cop .. its fair to be labeled a cop.

calling someone a slut is a different thing altogether - its a judgement call made by someone based on their private and very subjective moral standards.

if someone dresses a certain way - i would think they may be dressing provocatively, that doesnt make them a slut by my definition.

if someone sleeps with a lot of different partners - everyone is unnatached, no expectations are made - no one gets hurt .. thats just a person who likes sex.. sometimes with different partners .. i dont think thats being a slut.

a girl is at a party who looks nice enough that the hubbies are all taken with her ... doesnt make her a slut .... because the rest of the room is filled with bitter old dumptrucks that used a baby or two as an excuse to go to hell in a handbag.

now what we do is we stand in this one corner and watch..
we dance in the same spot..tell jokes..drink etc ..in this one corner.
Anyways the guys all went to the toilet and had left me all by myself.
This man causually comes up and says hello and we start talking..
turns out he recognise me and my mates as crew at the gaming convention.
next thing you you hear above all the music is this fucken woman..
she comes charging up to us..calling me a slut..trying to make moves on her man..etc..
now em not a catty person ..but i took one look at this thing in front of me n was like...oh shit!!do you actually fuck that!!?hrmmm
it was all on....LOL.
My biggest hate is my hair being touched...and as i was walking away...she grabs my shoulder n caught some of my hair..
The fight went from the spot where we were standing ..all the way into the carpark.
My second biggest hate is when ppl try and stop you when your angry ..and arms wrap all around you.
the worst part was...EM THE SOBER ONE !!!!.

my view on sluts is similar to my view on several other things: hard to make a blanket definition, but you know one when you see one (in this case, not 'see' as in "oh, look, she totally looks like a slut!" but you know what I mean. And if you don't, then that's not really my problem)
