About a year ago I saw Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon. This may be the closest thing to cinematic perfection I have ever seen. I've probably seen it five times since then, and I can't find a flaw in it! 10/10 indeed.

One-of-a-kind classic, for sure. One of the most incredible films cinematography-wise, too. It was all shot using natural light and candlelight, plus they used a couple of super-fast lenses used by NASA, with infinite depth of field. Kubrick was an amazing lunatic.

It's truly a movie that could only have been done by Kubrick. It has had a profound influence and effect on me this year.
