Mate, where are you from??? Where do you live now???

Cadburys isn't just decent, its a million times better than the shit they dish out in the US. I spent all my youth lookin forward to tryin Hersheys chocolates cos i'd seen them in the movies and shit. Finally went to the states in 2001. Spent a shit load on hersheys. Tried it and it tasted of puke. For real.....all i could taste was a really acidy pukey taste.

Though i ought to have another go last year and it still tasted of puke. Apart from the little gold drops...they were ok.

And cool aid......how much fuckin sugar do ya want in each mouthful???

He's an Aussie, so his taste is probably as far off from English as an American's.

I live in Sydney, AUS Preacher.
Sorry, but my overall chocolate enthusiasm isn't that great. It's probably one of the better ones here, but unless it is the pay by the gram imported swiss stuff I PREFER to buy, it just doesn't go beyond "average" for me.
True I was a little dissapointed in some of the U.S chocolate, but they're also decent in my book, just different. U.S chocolate tends to be a little richer/sweeter, there's more cocoa content in it also. Cadbury is milk chocolate, milder and cremier by far, which would explain the acidy taste of hersheys by comparison. I liked it myself, but you gotta moderate.
The little gold drops being kisses? I prefer those to the standard bar myself, but I mainly get the cookies n cream one...although I don't buy it much, there's no point, the one's we have here are manufactured here now anyway.
The one I was MOSTLY dissapointed by was Wonka chocolate.

I agree on the kool aide thing, I have only ever had a small sachet of (I think) this red tropical flavour. I remember making it to the suggested consistancy, and almost had a seizure drinking it. However, when I watered it down a little, I really liked it. So yeah, it still makes my list.

I'm also looking at other international products. There are some pretty interesting gum flavours on the asian market...

So can anyone who's tried it tell me what this Faygo shit actually tastes like? I have someone begging me to buy a box of the peach variety.

Suggestion for the koolaid: use half the recommeded amount of suger. i also cant drink it with the recommended sugar amount, that is instant diabetes.

cheebacheeba 09-01-2004 07:22 AM

WHAT?!?

- You guys added sugar???

CRAZY

Kool-aid comes in small packets you mix with sugar and water to make, well, Kool-aid.
And the Dollar Store here has Faygo in large 3 liter bottles. I usually get the Red myself.

Just for the record, the gold kisses have almonds in them. The silver kisses are plain.I happen to like nuts in my chocolate. As opossed to my nuts in chocolate.

Vodstok 09-01-2004 07:33 AM

Newb, does your wife know you like nuts?
