Cabinet of Dr. Caligari

The sets were incredible, I LOVED them. Good stuff.

Night of the Living Dead is the last one I watched. It seems I watch that the most.

Well, that's not exactly it, but it's something in that vicinity...bizarre "WTF??" type narrative ramblings......

Supposedly, the original track was lost, so the director had to do it himself on very short notice. Is it just me, or did he sound drunk? Perhaps that was just the poor writing...

Yucca Flats is certainly a bad-in-a-fun-way type movie:D

Jeez.........would be perfect to watch with "The Creeping Terror," another "we lost the soundtrack so the whole film is narrated" type movie.

If you like realllllly bad movies by the way, I would recommend "Mesa of Lost Women," it's a really exceptional one. THAT movie is a real poo poo!

I don't think The Munsters would be classified as horror but it surely is a classic.

Carnival of Souls (1962): I like this film, very heavy on the Twilight Zone influence but recommended.

The Ape Man (1943): A strange one but enjoyable enough. Not sure why they felt compelled to have the author of the story as a character?

urgeok 03-09-2006 07:47 AM

i could have sworn that was made after the 60's ;)

You're right, I misread the Forum's description. Sorry about that.

In that case... the last one I saw was White Zombie. I enjoyed it because I'd never seen a zombie movie so old. It wasn't scary, but it was interesting to watch and I had the priveledge to see it at a cinema, which was also cool.

scouse mac 03-10-2006 03:54 AM

Mesa of Lost Women (1952): Dont know why but expected more from a film with Uncle Fester from Addams Family in the lead role as the mad doctor! Still, standard fair invoving beautiful women/tarantula hybrids (of a sort) and a stranded group of passengers from a downed plane. Only watch if you're seriously short of other things to do.

Last Man on Earth... again

Good stuff.

Creature from the Haunted Sea, bit of a coincidence there Lionels Mother!

alkytrio666 03-18-2006 07:22 AM

I just watched The Road to Dracula, a documentary about the 1931 film.

Very insightful, very interesting. And the perfect time length so it never drags.
