I went to the Tote on Saturday night and saw the new line up of "Budd", It was fucking awesome. They are a post rock, stoner fuzzz type thing. But the new line up has Tom, the drummer who played inRicaine and The Mark of Cain. Fuck it was good. Then I bought some weed and went home and got stoned.
I stayed at the bar till about 3am or just after. Great night!

Yep, and they were both merely O.K. The singer of Dir en grey sounded like King Diamond, and he was kind of annoying. Their music was pretty rockin, but it got old fast. The Deftones fucking rocked. I can't believe they opened with Passenger . It was a weird opener considering Chino basiclly sings back-up's, and I'd just seen Maynard 2 days before.

6/29 - Roger Waters - The Dark Side of the Moon Tour - Omaha, NE
What a fuckin' show. The 1st set was a mixture of Old Pink Floyd and a few solo songs. 2nd set was The Dark Side of the Moon album, and then 3 song Encore with Another Brick in the Wall, Vera, and Comfortably Numb.
Oh yeah, I was on Shrooms. :D

I saw pretty much the same show last september......no SHROOMS but quite a few budweisers......great fucking show.

Nikkif8 07-06-2007 06:41 AM

I just saw Stevie Nicks, she was great. Played quite a few Fleetwood mac songs too.

In August I am going to see a local covered band called The Machine that does covers of Pink Floyd. They are playing down at the waterfront so it should be fun. Not really a concert as good as Roger Waters would be but fun none the less.

Killer show. Slayer was fuckin' brutal. Tom, Dave, Kerry, and Jeff still play still like it was 1984.
I'm not a big fan of Manson, but his performance was pretty good.

I got some free tickets of some friends to go see their band called Diamond Sea (named after the sonic youth song) on Saturday. They played first, but had sound troubles and other wise where good. Mainly instrumental with great guitar distortion, in the vain of my bloody valentine etc... any way the next two bands where really crap, then came Glasvegas , the headliners, they didn't sound nearly as good as there recordings.

I think the venue just pretty much had shit sound....

But anyway, the night went on and I got totally munted!

All up, I can't rate it, I don't realy remember enough.

Disease 10-21-2007 08:19 AM

Last Friday night I went and saw Unsane, I used to play in a band with a drummer who was a big fan and used to listen to his albums...

So since they have reformed and come to visit me I thought I might aswell check them out.

The first band were a local act called Hey Enemy, they were mighty good, fitting the theme of the night with there post rock/hate core sounds and relentless energy..

Next was Black Sun who were more of a doom metal sound and I found a bit boring and ended up outside smokeing cigaretts.

Finaly Unsane played, they were brutal, total Carnage, fuck yeah!

Then Boredoms with support from Michael Gira..... what a fucking night!

Disease 10-29-2007 09:06 AM

Kling Klang where the headline, sounded a bit like trans am, Titus Gein played before them and they sounded like Fucking Champs (the band), before them was some wanker who used to be in a band called sluts of trust he was horrible!

The first band of the night was the main reason I went to the gig, they are "Hey Enemy", suffered from a shit mixer, otherwise they rocked hard!
