Halloween, first one. The rest I could really care less. Its been a long time since I've seen the 2nd one, so maybe that one would still be good?

Elm Street, just the first one. I didn't like the others.

The 13th...never liked them. I'm not really much of a slasher person anyway. HOWEVER it has been two decades at least since i've seen the original. I suppose I could rewatch the first one.

Unnameable, I and II are both about equal.

Re-animater. Not sure. Maybe the second. Is that the one with the re-animated people needing to stay freezing?

Hellraiser. Hard for me to choose. 1st, 2nd, or 7(Deader). The first has an almost 'realness' too it. Probably because it was a simpler film. The 2nd was a lot of fun. The Doctor cenobite was awesome. Deader was also simpler, but the new locale and from what I remember the acting/story were really well done. To introduce someone to the series I'd show them the first one. For a bunch of people to watch together the 2nd, for watching by yourself or with one other person the 7th.

Poltergeist the first one. Lots of reasons.

Puppetmaster. I wish I could say which one, but I really haven't watched these since I was a kid. A rewatching will be done eventually.

Evil Dead. The first one. Shrug, just liked it more.

The Descent. First one, duh.

Gremlins, the first one.

Critters. I can't remember. Been so long.

I think i'll stop there before I end up posting a very long list.

Oh and Basket Case 1 definitely. An actor in Time's Square walking over a real homeless person, past real hookers and strip club/porn movie houses. Alas, never to be done again.

Some of those movies you listed are only two films, though.

Saw Insidious 3 before and loved it. Might be my new favorite of the series.

I say Insidious 3 rivals the original... the demon was definitely the best one of the series.

Jigsaw Killer 06-06-2015 10:16 PM

Very easily the best one. One of the scariest film characters in recent memory.

Friday the 13th- The Final Chapter ( loved the role of Tommy played by Corey Feldman, reminds me of myself at that age)

Halloween- Halloween 4: The return of Michael Myers (first Halloween I ever saw....on HBO late at night...was a very long night.)

A Nightmare on Elm Street- Dream Warriors! ( My all time favorite movie EVER! Named both of my children based off characters in this film)

Saw- original (never saw that ending coming)

Scream- original ( just cant top the perfection of the first)

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre- Remake 2003

Alien- Aliens

Phantasm- I've only seen the original

Evil Dead- Evil Dead

Child's Play- Part 2 (the showdown at the toy factory was awesome)

Final Destination- 2 ? (this is a big toss up for me....I watch 1-3 all the time and 5 occasionally, never watch 4 cause its so lame)

Segment in Anthology-Trick r'Treat- School Bus Massacre ( There's an awesome haunted house close to where I live that recreates the bus scene from the movie)

I Know What You Did Last Summer- original

Paranormal Activity- part 3! ( most interesting story line, and I tend to get the least motions sickness from this one)

Jaws- part 2 ( I watched this so many times I feel like I was one of the kids on those sail boats)

Poltergeist- part 2 ( I cant remember a time I felt more creeped out then when Kane was singing and then came to door and was yelling in the house)

Re-Animator-original

Tremors- only ever the first one, and it was great!)

Children of the Corn- original ( sadly I have seen them all)

Amityville Horror- part 2 The Possession ( it was always the most shocking to me)

Hannibal Lecter- Red Dragon

Ugh, yeah i've seen them all too.
Was Amityville Horror 2 the one with the doorway to hell in the basement? I thought that was fantastic.

I think it is, but the incest scenes in the movie are what I remember the most. I was so shocked when the brother and sister started hooking up.
