brain fog

looking for a zombie movie that was made within the last ten years, i'd say. within the last few years it was on the netflix instant queue, which is where i saw it.
synopsis as far as i can remember:
emo teen likes the nice cheerleader girl who happens to be dating the rich jock. jock accidentally kills her trying to roofie her at some party and the nerd kid sees it happen and goes corpse-snatching. he then steals a book on voodoo from his like... anthropologist neighbor who's on vacation. brings cheerleader back as a zombie, but not like brain-hungry zombie, just a kinda walking death. he then tries to snap her back into the right mindset using several methods, including taking her to see a band that *i think* may be In This Moment. i don't remember how it ends, so don't tell me in the answer!
thanks in advance.

It starts with someone driving home who almost hits a dark cloaked figure in the road, and comes home to find their teenager murdered on a couch. There are jars of liquid and preserved body parts throughout the film. I think the climax has to do with some sort of Noah's Ark but filled with corpses and taxidermy animals and I think there is a crucified Jesus figure.

Thanks!

Been a couple (more) years, still looking for the title of this one. I am starting to think I may have made it all up. Only other info I have is that it may be a crime/action film more than horror genre, I am pretty sure my grandmother rented it the time I saw it, I seem to remember watching it with her and she doesn't care for horror.

I have a particular movie I've spent the past several years trying to find, but can't. All I can remember from it is that there is a part where a man is in a graveyard and comes across a door hidden inside of a grave. He opens it and falls down into an open area. All I remember after that is that he enters a room where several corpse-looking people are gathered around a table and at some point, his ear gets torn off and they're passing it around the table to one another and eating bites out of it.

I have enlisted numerous people over the years trying to track this movie down to no avail. Hopefully someone here can help me out, please!

Movie title help - 80s and before

Hey... I am trying to remember what horror movies these were... I have several:

1. It was on the way too friggin late show back in the late 70s or early 80s... probably a Hammer film or something... it was in color, and one scene i remember is a prisoner escaping from a dungeon-like cell, and attacking a nurse and biting her throat out. It was all shown in gory detail.

2. Some of the clips on the opening credits for Rob Zombie's House of 1000 corpses look familiar to me, but the one i am interested in is the one guy who appears to be in a cage with a very messed up mouth, maybe lips missing or something, almost Phantom of the Opera like grotesque face.

3. I don't remember if this was part of #1 or not, but there is a water torture scene where someone is chained? to the floor of this chamber and another scene where someone is descending stairs and gets axed - very Shining-like.

Any help with these would be appreciated... it has been bugging me for years. Thanks

Right, i saw a horror one time on television and forgot what it was called....

All i can remember is some guys turning an elevator off, and then a man walked into the elevator shaft, and walked down to the elevator, opened the hatch and looked inside, and there was a really old, wrinkled woman with wirey hair , like a witch, who proceeded to rip the old style elevator apart and i think killed the guy?

The elevator had a black chequered floor and was pretty old fashioned. It appeared that the floor/roof was made of wood as it was torn apart

I seem to remember some sort of horrific transformation took place in the elevator (which was stationary btw)

I have no idea why but when I checked the guide out i have some memory of pet sanctuary or semetary or something being on but there's no correlation with that being the correct film as it could have been a different channel. I woke up in the middle of the night to this film so my memory is a bit foggy.

Anyone got any ideas? Cheers

The movie I saw was probably from the 70s or 80s. A family moved into a haunted/demon possessed house (not Amityville or Poltergeist). In one scene, the oldest boy was outside dribbling his basketball obsessively. In another, the mother was in the kitchen and heard a baby crying. She opened one of the cupboards and saw something like a dead fetus in a jar of formaldehyde that was making the noise. In the last scene, the whole family had to drive away, as the house was just too infested to live in.

I realize this isn't much to go on, but would be grateful for any assistance.

Main thing he said was that a man smoking a cigarette in some dark area. You could Just see his s hand, the cigarette and an ashtray. The hand put out the cigarette in the ashtray and then the man took some cigarette ash from the ashtray and applied it on his face.

I'm looking for a film a saw a long time ago. It was cheesy and bad but what you gonna do. Nostalgia eh? It was based on jekll and hyde and I watched it on the horror channel at least 3 years ago. The basic plot was that this woman inherits a house and finds it has potions which do something (not sure what exactly anymore). Anyway one defining bit is that it turns her into a man and she has sex with another woman which goes wierdly. Anyway hope you goes can help.

Jacqueline Hyde....

I feel so wrong for knowing that. :o

horrorlover5 02-16-2013 11:29 AM

Thanks for that. Got another one. I watched this when I was a kid late at night on a BBC channel. I don't remember much. This is it really:

Family is haunted by a spirit in a red coat.
Spirit kills their cat at one point with poisoned milk
The spirit imprisons their child in a hollow point in one of the walls in their house and they have to bust into it to get them out.

horrorlover5 02-22-2013 03:58 PM

Anyone know?

horrorman 02-27-2013 04:24 PM

I think the movie you are searching for is Don't Look Now.

Strailo 03-01-2013 04:00 PM

I need help.

I remember I watched this movie on Netflix at my ex's place. I don't know the year but I can tell you a few things.

1) It was Asian. What Asian, I'm not sure. I just know it was one.

2) It had a woman giving another woman a ride to somewhere. She offers tea. That tea become a plot point later.

3) The first woman is a medium/psychic/whathaveyou. She tells the other woman 4 different stories about when she did a job or when something happened. It ended with the other woman's story.

4) I really, really want this name. Seriously. I want to watch this movie. It was good.

Yes, it's a ghost story. But still good.

horrorlover5 03-03-2013 02:41 AM

That's not the one. I knew someone was gonna say that and I just skipped through most of it and none of it is the same. It's set in the countryside for the whole thing for a start whereas Don't look Now is mainly set in Venice.

horrorlover5 03-08-2013 12:33 AM

Anyone? Really want to know the name so I can watch it again.

immortalliam 03-09-2013 05:02 PM

Help!

A good while back, when I was just a kid (I think), I stayed up too late to watch a movie that I wasn't supposed to watch. My memories of it are now very vague, but I'd really love to know what it was. I was creeped out and could only bring myself to watch the start of it. Here's what little I remember...

It was some older (well, pre-90s, and possibly pre-80s) horror film, and I think it was set in an older time than the movie too. Pretty sure it was set on a farm. There was a young (probably teenage) girl who got in trouble for something quite early on in the movie and so they locked her in the attic for the night. There was something scary about the attic, but I honestly don't remember what. I think there was something to do with the floorboards.

Then I remember that the next day, they let her out of the attic and she came slowly walking down the stairs to creepy music. It was obvious something wasn't right with her anymore. This was the point I got creeped out and went to bed, ha!

Does anyone have a clue what this was?! Help, please!

immortalliam 03-10-2013 02:39 PM

Yes!

actually, don't worry about it. through a methodical search of the web i have finally uncovered it. actually couldn't believe it when i found it. such a good feeling, haha.

it had a very dramatic title... "the blood on satan's claw".

now... should i watch it again or will it creep me out all these years later? that is the question, haha!

Driving me crazy!

I'm trying to find out what movie I'm thinking of. I probably saw it 15+ years ago so there isn't much to go on. It's likely an late 70s early 80s flick. It involves a kid who is evil. The big revelation comes when an adult (I think a nun?) turns the kid's hand over and sees that there are three cirlces/dots on the kid's palm indicating that the child is evil. I realize it's not much to go on but like I said, it's been a while. Please help!

I watched the Omen again recently and that wasn't it, but it did spark the memory of the movie I'm looking for. I should have written that in my first thread, sorry about that.
I know the Omen had the three sixes as the symbol, but I really feel like this one was three small circles on the hand.

a haunted house movie

hey there, there is this movie i have been trying to find since my childhood. it was translated into turkish as "the haunted house", i searched the whole internet but couldn't find it under that name. so anyway, here is a detailed summary of the movie:

(this might or not be the beginning, it was like 15 years ago) there are two maids, one young and one older, cleaning a house/mansion. there are white sheets covering the furniture and portraits on the walls. the young maid becomes aware of the portraits watching her and runs outside into her car. then boom! her car explodes. (i'm not sure if this is the same movie but as far as i can remember it was the beginning)
(here is the part i am certain of): a young couple with a young daughter move into an old big house like a mansion with a statue of the reaper above the entrance. the father records their moving day. the daughter runs into the house and finds an old-fashioned doll on a bed. when her parents find her there, she claims the room for herself. in the evening, the father watches the tape he recorded, but the sounds are weird, like when you listen to music on your walkman with dying batteries. and the mother finds all the cupboards open. the daughter goes to school. there was a scene where a girl exactly like the doll watches the daughter behind trees. (some strange stuff happens) and the family calls for a medium. he is like a priest and comes with his assistant, a young attractive woman. they search the house with an electronic tool that beeps louder when it finds spiritual energy. they find the doll and the device goes crazy. the man tell the family to put a bowl of milk outside the front door. (at one point someone looks at the milk and it whirls red and white and spurts into the face of that person) again some stuff happens and one night, everything starts flying around and hurting people. the medium has a device that is like a flashlight but it shows the spirits. one of the spirits was like a wolf or some beast. it was a rainy night with lightnings. when the parents go out to look for their daughter, they find the body of the medium under the statue of the reaper with his head cut and lying beside him on the ground. the spirits kidnap the daughter. they call a priest who tell them about the history of the house. they find a protecting charm in the basement sticking to a wall. they remove it and use it to reach the evil spirits (i guess). the spirits shout with anger that the girl is theirs. then somehow, they go down into the basement again and break down a wall behind which they find their daughter hanging from her neck alive together with her other dolls. (at one point they find the corpse of the previous owner in the basement behind some wall and bars.) everything seems to go back to normal but the mother is being possessed. she thinks she sees the attactive assistant and her husband making out in the garden on the car, then dreams that her husband and the assistant are having sex on her bed in front of her, pitying her. then she goes crazy and locks the doors. she goes to the basement and cuts off the head of the doll with an axe. the ghost of the doll makes herself visible to the daughter with bloodstains around her neck saying that it is very bad when mother is like that. the father goes to the church and finds the priest kneeling at the altar holding a dagger. he is dead. the father takes the dagger and rushes back to the house. the mother attacks her daughter but she escapes. the father arrives and the mother hurts him with a scissor. they fight and the father stabs her with the dagger on her heart. a colourful swirl emerges out of her. she becomes herself again, they all jump out of a window and run away into the woods while the house burns. we see a beasty spirit smiling into the camera after them at the final.

i know this was very long but thanks for reading it. it drives me crazy to remember it so well but not be able to find it because of a translation issue. so, has anyone watched this?

Kandarian Demon 03-23-2013 01:26 PM

I've hoped to find out what the name of this movie is for years:

I watched it around the early 90s, I think

It was some kind of sci-fi horror, I don't actually remember much from it, except that "the bad guys" (whom I think were aliens) disguised themselves as humans, and - this is the part that might ring a bell for someone: their victims would shrivel up/"inflate" and turn into little balls of light.

I got kicked out of the room by my parents before the movie ended, so don't remember anything apart from that. I'd like to see the whole thing sometime :)

Okay, so, several years ago.. I'm gonna say 2004-2005 I rented a movie from Hollywood Movies. It was in the foreign section. I'm going to say it was Asian (I'm pretty sure about this)
It's about a girl who moves to a new school and she's very mysterious..
Weird stuff starts to happen, like something is following her.. then they all get locked in the school..
I remember one scene where the students get trapped in a room and you hear screaming and then blood splatters all over the window...

I wish I could remember more.. but I can't.. I have searched all over the internet.. every phrase I can possibly think of.. and I get nothing lol...

Thanks!

Help needed!

Hello,

If my memory serves me right, there's a movie series based on some Stephen King stuff (or maybe he was producer or something) but I can't find it anywhere
nor do I remember anything except for a few scenes. I'm not even sure they're
from the same episode/movie.

One of the scenes I remember has probably an american man in Japan and he is at some kinda brothel. Then there was this one girl being tortured with nails/spikes being stuck underneath her nails.
And a third scene has this one little girl, who is a geisha in the present, and who has some deformed twin on her body.

I hope that someone can help me, I've been looking all over the internet for this movie/series.

I know I already asked these, but I am still searching for these films, these are both horror films (or) TV shows, which I saw way back in 1990-1991, both were shot in color.

One movie features a clip of a woman seen in a white painted kitchen cooking something. The woman is dark haired, has short hair, if I remember right, and is wearing a bathrobe or raincoat. She has a pot on a stove on with boiling water. She opens her refrigerator, moving jars around, searching for something to eat, and she eats a can of dog food (I think it was dog food). She pours the food in a bowl and eats it, she might be kneeling on the floor while eating it. Her small white dog (terrier, I think) comes into the room, and stares at her eating its food. The woman stares back at it with a mutilated growling gruesome face green colored with red-yellow eyes. That is all I can remember. I saw it in 1990-91, but someone else said they saw this clip, in the mid 80s, but unfortunately, the clip is all they can remember from this film, as well. The face of the woman resembles the doll from the Trilogy of Terror horror franchise. Some suggested this is a werewolf film, but I am not sure. Any ideas?

I saw this on 1990, and I am the only one who remembers it. I cannot remember much of the film, but all I can recall is a long dark haired woman resting in bed, I think she has a book on her bed, and a lamp next to her. She hears a noise, and we see a ghost floating on two sets of stairs (banisters). The hallway resembles the halls of the Stanley Hotel, which is an actual haunted place. From what I can remember of the ghost, it was covered in a light blue sheet (the same sort of sheet Michael Myers wore in the first Halloween to disguise himself as a sheeted ghost with glasses, it is not "Halloween"), and it did not have any hands, feet, or face (no ears), if I can recall, no eyes, just an adult size head and invisible body. I think there was a piece of string tied around the neck. I think the ghost came back for revenge. We see the ghost floating in the doorway, and probably a hotel mirror on the wall. The ghost then floats towards the woman and looks down at her, floating around her, she just looks up screaming, fussing, and trying to kick it away. I am thinking either the ghost is a woman who used to live in the house, or a deceased lover of hers.

The first film could be a werewolf film, but it is not "My Mom's a Werewolf" as someone mentioned, maybe "Mom", which is about a werewolf woman, could be "Night Train to Terror." The second film could be "the Haunting Passion", "the Haunting of Seacliff Inn", or "the Haunting of Sarah Hardy" (she did look like Sela Ward), which are all made-for-TV movies, but it is not "the Entity", perhaps it is from a 80s paranormal ghost show, such as "Ghostwatch", or a show such as "Night Gallery", "the Twilight Zone", "Outer Limits", or "Night Vision", or maybe the films, "Burnt Offerings" or "the Guardian."

I am sorry for asking these questions again, but I have asked on several horror boards, and no one knows. I know I am not in the only one in the world who saw these. Does anyone have any ideas whatsoever what they may be? Any help at all would truly be appreciated, thanks.

I'm trying to remember the name of a movie. It's from the 80s and it has the guy from Cecil B. Demented and Blade, but he's a kid. They summon a bunch of tiny demons. And then there's a big demon at the end. What's that one called?

The Gate.

I think I found the werewolf film. Any ideas on the ghost film at all?

cheebacheeba 05-04-2013 06:12 AM

Here's one that I don't remember much about at all.

I thought the title had something to do with "under" or "sub" something.
Not horror. Fantasy/comedy if anything.
I remember the cover had the human protagonist who's a young dude maybe 16-20 years old "leaning" against one side of the cover which also featured the creature in the film.
It was about this creature, that had come from someplace underground...evidently the main character had to help him/it get back.
...I seem to recall it had a fascination with shoes, and may have tried to steal the shoes of the main character.

I don't even know if or why I want to see this again, but the thought of it is annoying me.
