Stargate Universe, first two episodes


Decided to give this a try on the basis that Robert Carlyle was in it. It would appear they have gone down the BSG style and it looks interesting enough for me to continue watching it, for now at least.

Just caught an ancient re-run of This Hour Has 22 Minutes (for you non-Canucks, this is basically our answer to The Daily Show or Colbert Report).

Must have been around '93...great fun watching how much things have changed.

i like stargate, but it seemed to me they stretched out nothing within the first two shows. like if they were checking if the ratings were high enough to do a third. I dont know....

There was enough there to keep things moving and I actually quite liked the fact they didnt have a fast paced, explosive opening. I do wonder if I will spend too much time comparing it to other shows though and not judge it on its own merits.

Stargate SG1, Voyager and BSG are immediately apparent.
