Ooooo... I'd definitely be interested... Is the plan real money or free play?

I'm more of an Omaha fan myself, but HorrorForum Holdem sounds good too.

I'll see whether or not I can get on the site after work today or tomorrow... :)

EDIT: Actually, that might have been a stupid question... A lot of online sites do not allow US players to play with real money (or don't allow US player at all) so as to avoid the current US gambling laws.

Another option is to pick a freeplay site and join a tournament that's already scheduled.

Example: www.everestpoker.net

It's a free play site that already has Scheduled Tournaments. Conceivably, we could all sign up for the same Scheduled Tournament and play at the same time.

That is, if we can't find software that'll allow us to create our own tournament that everyone can use.

...

Thoughts?

I am still interested in playing in, but not organizing, this.

If we're playing for no cash, I'll play anywhere, just link me there. If we're playing for real cash, I'm only interested in playing at Absolute Poker since I've already got money in an account there.

If it's difficult for you American folk to play with real cash... and I'd rather it be for bullshit money anyway, let's organise that...

Maybe after a few tournies we could raise the stakes.

I'm ready to get this thing rolling.

Yeah, I'm definitely in... The problem is finding software that allows you to organize your own tournaments...

The only ones that I know of are www.pokerroom.com, but that does not accept US players (and they do not allow you to organize tournament for Free Play) and PokerStars, but they only allow their "VIP Players" to organize personal tournaments.

So I think that there's definitely interest, but there's no medium...

And I'm actually a fount of useless knowledge on the subject because I work for a software company that designs and maintains the software for a poker website, so I know a little about the big Internet competitors.

HOWEVER, there might be some smaller competitors that allow members to organize personal tournaments... I don't know of any, though. Sorry. :(

Everyone needs PS3, the eye of judgement, and a deck of cards.
Play poker online, just like that.
JUST LIKE THAT!

Absolute only allows you to organize PTs if you're a VIP...

:(

Allows PT creation, but no Real Money Deposits for US players...

For you non-US players, though, the software looks pretty smooth...

sigh :(

I guess I am just going to have to sit out because I have a Mac.

I have a game that I play called Torn City and its like a text based crime game that has a "casino" where you can play cards and start you own tournament's but you need to earn money in the game in order to play.

god... I used to play hold-em on this one site, but I totally forgot what site it was. Maybe we could play on Pogo.com or something?
