i only found out about halloween through my oldest sister. I wouldn't be writing this thread if it wasnt for someone from the eighties. And yes, when i explain to them which michael myers i mean, they still don't know who it is. Some of my friends know because i spend hours on end explaining the films to them.

I think it's good that he's changing him... Michael Myers was just a second rate Jason in the halloween movies.

Mute emotionless killer with a mask. He doesn't chase people, he walks as his victims run for a minute and then he just shows up besides them... Uses a big ol knife to kill people, so what's the difference? I think making Michael Myers less supernatural is a good idea, he's supposed to be just a psycho anyway.

A: they always said "he was the boogeyman" so he is a supernatural force.....

B: he never was a psycho when he was a child his babysitter was in a cult and brainwashed him into thinking he would save the world from some kind of turmoil if he killed his family....so he never was born a psycho...

maybe you should do some research:D

C: micheal knows how to catch people thats why he always appears near them...all serial killers in horror movies do that....

D:didnt halloween come out before F13????

A: Ted Bundy could be referred to as a Boogeyman, that doesn't mean he has supernatural powers.

B: When was this information mentioned? o_O

C: Just because you know how to catch people, doesn't mean you can instantaneously transport around on your free will. There are situations in the Halloween movies in which a catch scene has no possible way of explaining itself. ie -> not possible.

D: Yes it did. Friday the 13th was admitted to be a quick film to cash in on Halloween's sucesses. Therefore, F13 is the copy of Halloween - not vice versa.

Researched the whole cult aspect revealed in the SIXTH film (ha). This is the 6th film. The sixth. In a franchise used to rake in the cash. John Carpenter was not at all involved with this production; writting, directing, anything. I'm not sure if such a researcher of film as yourself is aware... but when a film turns into a franchise and the original creator drops out... the story is taken on by independant writers who give the film their own twists. The fact that Michael was "chosen by a cult" in the sixth has nothing to do with the original; you CANNOT say that John Carpenter intended from the start to have Michael be in a cult. He very well could have deemed him as he was presented in HIS VERSION (ie. THE ORIGINAL)... as a confused child with a knife.
