I hated the ending to The Mist but thought the movie overall was good so hopefully yeah but given the size difference and story, it's gonna be a lot more work.

No one has mentioned the excellent adaption of The Green Mile....

Stand By Me aka The Body was also classic, both print and film.

And once again is King working with Affleck on this? lol:p

Wasn't really a fan of The Green Mile. Didn't hate it or anything I just found it forgettable. But yeah Stand By Me is a classic... such a great flick. Definitely one of the best of the 80s.

Meh. I'm kind of tired of Stephen King. Instead of remaking his old stuff, they should just make Duma Key (which was awesome)

Remaking "The Stand"

It looks like a remake of "The Stand" is actually happening. No more Affleck directing (now Josh Boone), a few likely casting choices (Matthew McConaughey as Randall Flagg) and I'm crossing my fingers that other characters will be cast well. Like someone who will actually play Frannie as an interesting character, not just vacant and whiny.

What do y'all think?

Not real sure about it yet.....

I have always been a huge Stephen King fan but disappointed in a lot of the movies/tv series that were made from his books. The Stand series had its good points and bad points, some of it was real cheesy (I'm referring to the tv series).

We should all be getting used to remakes by now so I guess what's one more!
