Pirates 3

i was kind of depresses by the ending cause of the whole Will/Elizabeth thing. i'm becoming a sap in my old age i guess.

9/10

Transformers

i thought it was pretty damn good, but yet i'm not much of a movie critic like some. there were some funny parts and i totally got all sentimental about Bumblebee (the yellow car). i guess it's just cause i'm a girl.

at midnight i'll take your soul and onibaba.

i just got them for christmas, so naturally i watched them immediately.

It's A Wonderful Life (1946).

Simply one of the ten greatest films of all time. It isn't a Christmas movie, either, though its parallel with the holiday makes it so fun to watch this time of year. I've seen it countless times, and I'll see it countless more.

Really nothing's that great about it. The first 2 were great, this one was blah. It never actally "gets started" everything feels like the opening credits. If that makes any sense.

One, Two, Three (1961)

Absolutely hysterical, black-as-coal humor courtesy of the genious Billy Wilder. Cagney is a riot, and the film literally never stops moving for an hour and a half straight. Any fan of Dr. Strangelove should definately check this out.

Roderick Usher 12-26-2007 10:31 PM

Once

It's like spying on a couple during the creative process and the first spark of romance. Incredibly touching and one of the best films of the year. The first scene of the couple playing together in the music shop ranks up there with the top 20 or so musical moments in film history.

Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

It was entertaining, I enjoyed it. Very comical and dark. Has that same Tim Burton feel as Sleepy Hollow. Recommended.

I Bury the Living (1958)

This was actually a pretty good watch. It's a no-budget shocker with horrible acting, but makes up for it with a great plot.

jenna26 12-27-2007 10:38 AM

The Quick and the Undead ~ about what most would expect (will I never learn?). Even those that are fans of cheesy, low budget horror (like me) would do best to avoid this one. Silly, but not in the good way.

28 Days Later- I really like it. Great acting, and I love the character Selena. I love the flow and haunting emptiness of it, however, i think it's incredibly boring. It's thrilling and extremely well made, but it's so very boring. However, the climax at the military station wins the movie for me, because that is one of the best climaxes i've seen in a long time.

8/10

28 Weeks Later- I love it. I can say without question that it's significantly better than the original. I love the flow of it and the atmosphere, although the original does beat this one on atmosphere. This is one of the few films that actually scares me, and it really does. There are a good 5-6 moments in the film where I was biting my nails the first time I saw it. It does a perfect job of keeping me compelled to it, which is hard for an a.d.d. teenager ;) Great acting and sub plots as well.

9/10

I also really love the main theme to these films. Very creepy.

despite what many have said, i feel this film is a fitting endpiece to kubrick's career.
