believe it or not, blaur witch 2 was actually not such a bad movie. It wasnt like the first one, you know, black and white and raw footage, but it was kinda creepy,.

I've said this before, but the scariest movie I've ever seen was that Trekkies documentary. Absolutely horrifying,

I have seen that kind of thing up close... there was a congregation of trekkies at the local mall about 9 years ago. Fat nerds in klingon outfits. Skinny nerds in Vulcan outfits... And the dork i went to the mall with staring at them dreamily and asking how he could join starfleet academy.

I swear, if i hadnt met the girl who actually claimed to have fucked him, i would have bet money he would have died a 72 year old virgin....

Oh god, he was easily the most pathetic loser i have met. Total momma's boy. He actually believed her when she explained to him that the silicone bra inserts she had (obviously to make her b-cups look like c-cups) were "for a medical reason"......

Boy did he get upset and flustered when i suggested that maybe she just wants to make her tits look bigger and didnt want to tell him.... Pretty sad reaction for a 19 year old....

no where near as sad as wanting to join starfleet

Blair Witch is the only movie that ever scared me. Just the tension near the end, most of the movie was dull as a rock, but the last 15-20 minutes scared me shitless.
I can't agree about most of it being dull (if it was peppered with the usual action bits, the movie would be totally different and not built up to such a shattering ending - remember, this is a project and not an adventure), but yes the final scenes with Josh gone and the discovery of the old house are terrifying.

urgeok 02-03-2005 01:42 PM

the house is exactly where the film failed for me (with the exception of the final seconds in the cellar which were effective)

all i could think of when they were running up and down the stairs .. is that they (as filmmakers) found an old house .. so they decided to use it as a cool place to film ..and just shot footage of the kids running around in it.

It took me right out of the movie.

EXTR3MIST 02-03-2005 01:48 PM

Sounds like you took yourself out of it - the house discovery was a new element to the proceedings (most of the scary bits being centred around the tent), and those fleeting glimpses of (childrens?) handprints were rather unnerving.

Also, it was a claustrophobic scene - we briefly saw the dimly-lit exterior, but those running-up-and-down-stairs sequences (shifting between the two cameras) didn't give much away as to what was that house and what was in it...
