There's one I really like and constantly suggest, it seems to divide viewers because of the story though.

Audition (aka Ôdishon)
Cure
Cursed (Yoshihiro Hoshino, 2004)
Dark Tales of Japan series (various directors) [I thought that this is a great Hodge Podge of films]
Dark Water (aka Honogurai Mizu No Soko Kara)
Infection (aka Kansen)
Jisatsu saakuru (aka Suicide Club or Suicide Circle)
Ju-on, Ju-on 2, Ju-on: The Grudge, Ju-on: The Grudge 2, Ju-on: The Grudge 3
Kairo (aka Pulse)
One Missed Call (aka Chakushin Ari)
One Missed Call 2 (aka Chakushin Ari 2)
One Missed Call: Final (aka Chakushin Ari:Final)
Parasite Eve
Premonition (aka Yogen)
Reincarnation (aka Rinne)
Ring, Rasen, Ring 2, Ring 0: Birthday
Versus
Tomie
Uzumaki <-- I rather Enjoyed the twisting plot on this one, though it does start slow at first.
-----------------------------------------------

I know that a lot of these have been repeated if not all of them. I just really liked these.

Yeah, I had asked about that one, and as Des said, it got some mixed feedback.

My curiosity is definitely piqued, though... I think I'll bump it up in my Netflix queue.

You are like the only other person (besides ME of course) who has recommended Rinne... I actually thought that it was a good, creepy film and was pretty impressive.

Thanks for the recs... Some of these haven't been mentioned yet, so I'll keep my eyes out for them... Any personal favorites in the bunch? And what are the genres? Ghost? Revenge? Yakuza? Torture? Those seem to be the more popular amongst Asian horror.

I think people might also have issues with the ending. I think of it as sort of Lynchean.

I love Rinne.

It's all a mixture. I think that most of them are ghost and revenge.... usually ghostly revenge. I'll seperate them out in a bit.

Audition (aka Ôdishon) : Disturbing, serial killer/ revenge type. She's not getting so much "revenge" but she is mutilating becasue she wants the feeling of one person to completely love her.
Cure : Excellent movie, another serial killer type. This time the murderer is a secret. If ya haven't watched it, I'm not going to say.
Cursed (Yoshihiro Hoshino, 2004) : A shop is haunted and killing customers.
Dark Tales of Japan series (various directors) [I thought that this is a great Hodge Podge of films]
Dark Water (aka Honogurai Mizu No Soko Kara): Revenge/ghost
Infection (aka Kansen) : Just what it says... infections.
Jisatsu saakuru (aka Suicide Club or Suicide Circle) : Very interesting, lost of suicide and a band is the reason.
Ju-on, Ju-on 2, Ju-on: The Grudge, Ju-on: The Grudge 2, Ju-on: The Grudge 3: Revenge/ghost
Kairo (aka Pulse): revenge ghsot, but mostly ghost.
One Missed Call (aka Chakushin Ari) revenge/ghost
One Missed Call 2 (aka Chakushin Ari 2) revenge /ghost
One Missed Call: Final (aka Chakushin Ari:Final) revenge/ghost
Parasite Eve: mind altering biochemical machina movie
Premonition (aka Yogen) : This movie is about future and past events
Reincarnation (aka Rinne): revenge/ ghost
Ring, Rasen, Ring 2, Ring 0: Birthday : revenge/ghost
Versus: Zombie movie
Tomie : reincarnation/revenge/I'm not exactly sure how to explain Tomie...
Uzumaki: The spiral seems to be an other worldly force...

I really hopes that helps.

Ya may also want to try sick nurses. It's a Thai revenge ghost story.

sorry if some have already been posted

The Spiral one, I think you were thinking 'Uzumaki'? I would recommend it; I thought it was really good and there's a game called 'find the uzumaki'; basically you look at the sky whenever it's shown and look for a spiral being made =]

Though, I have to warn you, if you've read the manga, it's very different because the film was made while the manga was still being published

I thought...

"Sick Nurses

I really didn't like this one in the beginning but I trudged through the first half only to be surprisingly pleased with the second part. There are some effective scenes and while some of the effects are good some are just plain laughable. The CGI too, is abominable, maybe some of the worst I've seen. Sci Fi does better CGI work. Despite all that and the crazy ass plot I had fun with it, some parts even reminded me of Evil Dead. Anyway, this isn't for everybody, but it is the only movie in recent memory that had me asking myself: "Did that girl just choke on a fetus?""
