Double You Tee Eff has happened to this thread. To get back on topic....Gays are cool with me as long as they dont hit on me. Other than that gay guys are pretty cool. Trip me out a little though lol

i am a christian and as far as i can tell, the message that Jesus was giving was
1. love everyone(especially the lord)
2. treat everyone respectfully
3. try to be a good person

i dont see the problem with homosexuality because its not something thats going to affect me as long as i'm doing what im supposed to be doing.

First of all, for those of you who don't like people posting "non horror related threads" in the general forum, what's the big deal? This thread IS titled "Christianity and Homosexuality", so if you don't like the fucking topic, stay out of the thread or make your own. Don't come here and try to change the topic because you don't like it, ya fuckin' quiefs.

Next: I don't see how one can say "I'm a Christian but think homosexuality is okay." That seems a little weird to me. I mean, what if you die and go to heaven (hypothetically) and God says to you: "So, you claimed to be one of my children, yet you did not agree with everything I commanded. You just picked and chose certain things to believe based on how well they sat with you, and still you claimed to be a follower of my word. You, my friend, have some explaining to do." If the Bible blatantly says that homosexuality is wrong, don't you HAVE to believe it is wrong in order to still truthfully call yourself a Christian? I really don't think this issue is up for interpretation.

Personally: I think the Christian church is going to have a hard time in the not-so-distant future explaining their stance on this when science proves that homosexuality is genetically determined . It would be like someone having to go to hell for having brown eyes. Of course, they will probably simply deny the evidence and stay mired in their backwards superstitions.

I think some people are a product of their environment. In prison many offenders refer to it as, " forced homosexuality", do to their situation. They may be genetically disposed to homosexuality, but like some genetic traits it may not manifest itself unless certain conditions exist.

As far as religion goes, if you look around enough you'll find one that will let you do most anything.

I may be ignorant, but please allow me to retort.

As I said some people. not everyone! It's kind of like peer pressure. Given a certain situation an individual may engage in an activity they had not before. They might like it, they might not. They may adapt or incorporate it into their life/lifestyle, or they might not. The event might make them realize why they had the "feelings" they had.

For me, as long as your not trying to be gay with me it's OK. It's your party, and you can pick the music.

It's just my opinion, I might be wrong.
