Wellll I use Photoshop CS4 cause I when I was in web design we got all those fancy programs for free from this website that was included in our tuition. It has an option for layers. So I did a background layer with the splatters, one for the wolf, and then text defaults to separate layers so I use two colours sometimes as a drop shadow. If you can't find a pirated copy of photoshop then you can use Gimp, or Aviary. I like Aviary better because it's online and you don't have to download anything.

Thank you so much for this. My job is becoming a lot of User Interface (which I LOVE), but my manager won't spring for Photoshop, so I pretty much design all of our web screens in Paint (I kid you not) - Really can't wait to check this out. :D

As for the splatter: It was supposed to be a set of wings. I took the hand from the image of a demon wraith V posted for our team and took the hand and modified it.

They look like wings - I realized that after I posted, "splatter" wasn't what I meant to use... The question I was trying to ask was, "How did you make it red?"

I have Adobe Photoshop CS4 which comes with a color replacement brush. I picked Red and poof. Oh also used "magic wand" to select the hands and figure.
