"Death valley" 2/10

Despite its decent acting and special effects, this zombie movie is totally ruined by itīs low budget and weak story.

"House of wax" 2005 7-8/10

Even though iīm not a big fan of slasher movies, i found this surprisingly good for itīs genre. Great special effects.

"Willard" 2003 7-8/10

Also a surprisingly good horror movie, about a not quite normal man who finds out he can communicate with the rats in his basement. The movie could might as well have been called "Lord of the rats". Hehehe...
Thereīs a handfull of good actors in this one, including Laura Harring and R. Lee Ermey who is enjoyable to watch as Willards asshole boss. But the most remarkable performance comes from Crispin Glover (George McFly in "back to the future") as Willard. I mean, WAUW!!... Talk about perfect casting.

"Longest yard" 2005 4/10

Adam Sandler plays an ex-football pro who ends up in jail and is forced to gather a team of convicts who will play against the jail guards.
Youīre supposed to root for Sandler and his gang all the way thru to the big showdown, but before that happened i found myself not giving a shit anymore.

The big problem with the Longest Yard is, that it canīt decide if itīs a comedy or a drama, a sports movie or a jail movie and because of that nothing works from beginning to end.

Itīs just not a very good movie.

hustle & Flow - and, while i'm no big rap fan - it was a decent movie with AMAZING performances!

The Fog - remake---All i can say is WHY? It did not improve on the original one bit, as a matter of fact it lost the best factor of the original...atmosphere.

Flightplan---not bad for the first half.....got a little stupid towards the end.

well...... i think my kid liked it..

interesting sidenote ...
there were movie trailers before the flick ..
one was for an older musical called Newsies.

I'm watching this thinking .. damn that one kid looks like Christian Bale ... singing and dancing ... and it was him.

interesting to see what he looked like somewhere between the young boy of Empire of The Sun, and the man he is now ..

I used to think Kevin Spacey was one of the most underrated actors until he finally got an award, then it seemed his work really suffered ...now I think that about Christian Bale-I have seen many of his flicks and think "wow, what a talent",yet I kinda hope he stays on the level he is at,to save his talent-you know what I mean?
