Attack Girls' Swim Team vs. the Undead

Not what I was expecting at all, a little disappointing really.

Geddy 03-20-2009 01:12 PM

I watched Ali: Fear Eats the Soul last night. Fantastic film, highly reccomended.

"Doomsday" 4-5/10

The story really sucks ass.

Funny how i didn't noticed that on the first viewing. Was probably only focusing on the gory details back then.

Tons, including light bondage themes and lots of softcore (of the regular and lesbian varieties).

The Man with Two Brains

Probably Steve Martins best, along with Planes, Trains & Automobiles

missmacabre 03-20-2009 06:05 PM

tales of the Black Freighter animated. very cool.

So what if the story's bunk. It's still a cool mystery adventure.

Dont waste your time, Ive got alot of time for Nick Cage but the original is so much better. Dont get me wrong, the remake isnt awful but its nowhere near the quality of the original.

Night Watch followed by Sunshine. Nice Saturday combo. Night Watch had a grim, chunky, comic book feel to it. Very nice. Sunshine had an intense feel to it, though i wished that it was philosophically darker in flavor. Still liked it.

Nineteen Eighty Four (1984) - 8/10.

Good adaptation of the novel, you'd probably get a lot more out of it if you read the novel beforehand.

Naked Lunch (1991) - 9/10.

Very cool adaptation of Burrough's novel, had a very similar atmosphere to the novel.

The House Bunny

Utterly horrendous. I'll admit that I may have laughed once or twice at the sheer stupidity of it...but on the whole, it was just lowest common denominator, predictable, formulaic, moralistic bullshit. Hated every second of it.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008)

I never get tired of this...easily one of my all-time favourites.

My Winnipeg

Now that I've seen this and Brand Upon the Brain, I must say - I really, really like Guy Maddin's style. I think I enjoyed Brand Upon the Brain slightly more, but this was still a breathtaking film.

Rocky Balboa 4.5/5

Nice ending to a superb franchise.
Liked the depth they went to, instead of turning it into an all out fighting film.

Shine a light

I'm stoping it now.

They just had christina Agulira perform with them.... why not have a true female rock singer such as Patty Smith or P.J Harvey... Fucking atrocious....

And the crowd all look like they were born 10 years after the Stones first played a show, it's so fraudulent and pathetic...

To staged to warrant any credit...

Resident Evil. Great movie, normally I love it but with my Hubby sick all day I was in mothering mode so I couldn't stand the scares. This is a strange contrast to how I was snooping around, watching patients get blood taken, have ivs inserted and get wounds stitched all day. Giggled the whole time. Maybe it was just a long day and I was tired. I refuse to believe I'm becoming a wuss just cause I've only watched 2 horror movies a month for the last 4 months.

I also watched some horrible movie about a Basalisk attacking Colorado. It was called basilisk:The Serpent King. Never watch it. So bad. Not even cheesy and fun, just bad. Bad gore, bad puns, bad acting, fake science and archaeology. Bad.

The Burning (1981)

Pretty decent slasher treat. I think at least they could try for some sequels...like Jason Vs. Cropsy or Friday the 13th Part _: Cropsy--The Half Brother of Jason!:D

Funny Games was not all that funny. i found it painful and not fun to watch, and was even a little perturbed after seeing it:mad: Then i read Forunato's explanation of the flick and was relieved that maybe my response was appropriate. Ashe.

- Twilight
- Punisher - war zone (it was nuts - loved it)
- The Girls Rebel Force of Competative Swimmers. - obviously made by a perverted little japanese guy who masterbated to women in bathing suits.
so yeah - it was completely insane - but a lot of fun.

Quantum of Solace----not as good as the last one but I still love the direction these movies are going...and Craig is perfect for it.

Cold Prey (aka Fritt Vilt)

More than just a decent slasher. Recommended.

Waiting with anticipation for the boxset (with pt.2) to release in April.

The Trouble With Harry

Over-the-top hilarity from start to finish. The nicely tangled mess of a plot made for some incredibly amusing setups - it might not be among his best movies per se, but this has to be one of Hitch's most fun. I really had a great time watching it :)

Neon Maniacs

I thought I had indulges in enough cheese with all the pizza I ate this weekend, but this was so fitting to my Sunday night. It had no reason, it had cool monsters, it had everything an 80's horror movie should have.
