Baby doll, That's the usual reaction of every 'normal' person that comes to this forum...This place is NOT for everyone...We are a bit of a different 'breed' here...Those who choose to stick around, eventually begin to understand 'how we are' here...It's much more 'laid-back' than most other places...It can be an affront to the senses and sensibilities of a new person who isn't used to it

It's kinda like when a person watches a horror movie for the very first time, if they have only previously watched chick flicks, dramas, and politically correct crap...It would be shocking, intense and offensive...Know what I'm saying?

PLEASE consider WHO you are speaking to when you make a statement, and whether or not they may respond negatively to it.....If you KNOW that the comment you intend to make WILL create a war with someone, do NOT make that comment to (or about) that person....

Some people can handle it...Some people will play along with you...Some people will hit you right back in a funny, or intelligent way...And some may hit back with the same force you give them, and THEN...let...it...go

But...Some people just have to be left alone

So, pretty much, if you know you are going to cause a shitstorm...You are fucking up...Just stop

That's a tough one. It is asking for special treatment to tread carefully around one member just because they say now they have special needs.

While it is perfectly reasonable to ask that the forum does not behave in an inflammitory fashion just for the sake of it, or deliver direct profane insults (despite the dubious track record of the member in question), is it reasonable to instruct that an 'attack' on this person must not happen?

This is far too open to abuse - many debates and arguments are won through attack. I think it is essential to clarify the difference between forceful opinion and personal, derogatory insults or defamation.

Maybe we should color code our comments:

Inflamitory
Kidding
Sorta Serious
You Suck
Lipstick

I was afraid that it would appear to come off that way..BUT..This is what I meant.....While we shouldn't be ripping on ANYONE, most of us take it in stride or in jest...People react differently to different situations....Cheeba has shown us and TOLD us, that he WILL go off if attacked...Therefore, the obvious solution is just to avoid that altogether...the concept isn't really that difficult to grasp...


And just as you are so lightly, yet deliberately testing what we are trying to define as 'the line'...Others are aware of THEIR intentions also.....So, have a little giggle at your cleverness, and then drop it



Unfortunately, as this thread has demonstrated...It is extremely difficult for many people to make that distinction...Because, it is based on a matter of personal feeling and tolerance levels...That is why we can only rely on personal discretion and consideration
