Ah you can't go wrong with leatherface-great shirts sadly if I wore anything like that in Liverpool I'd be lynched. The best I have is one of Dante's Inferno with the circles of hell on it. I'll have to post a pic of it when I get a digital camera off a mate soon.

Why would it be bad for you to wear something like that?

Liverpool is a sport city-mainly football (Soccer) so everyone here wears sportswear except when wearing smart clothes for work etc-obviously I don't as I tend to wear dark coloured clothing anyway but it's casual but with no logos or anything like that. I'm ashamed to admit but people are very backwards here in terms of how you look-regularly "goths" get tormented and bullied I experienced this myself when I went through my experiemental goth look phase in my late teens and moved to Manchester which despite not being very far away is a completely different city-people there don't judge you for how you look whereas (in fact if you look different you can get compliments) in Liverpool they are very pre-judgemental and wearing those shirts would attract very unwanted attention. I tend to keep myself to myself and don't really get noticed. It is really sad things like piercings, tattoos, certain bands/artists on tshirts are responded to in a very hostile way. I had hoped on coming back here things would have moved on but they haven't. I realise I'm conforming to fit in but I haven't the energy for constant confrontations if people hear knew my dark heart-I keep it hidden

Wow that really sucks. I feel bad for you. I'm going to appreciate my expressive freedom and individuality a lot more now.

Cool pic, dude.

Naa, not that much shit. But apparently enough to have important members leaving.

But I guess that's the way of the moderator at HDC. The job eats you up and then you disappear.

History repeats itself.

Elvis_Christ 03-09-2012 02:01 AM

Yeah that bottom pic is rad. Where was it taken?

LOL yeah sadly that's true I used to fight them all a lot when I was younger I just don't have the energy nowadays. It's terrible but people here have actually been seriously injured or called just for being different. It does seem to be changing though we are a lot more multi-cultural here now than ten years ago.

Not sure if you were talking to myself but if you were. It was taking on a farm in a town over from my own. My friend and I were taking photographs and she took this one. I am glad of how it came out.

Things have changed since I used to live there. Bold Street and Wood Street were always inhabited by those of alternative fashion, and there used to be Quiggins. I have this great memory of walking down Bold Street with my Dad past punks and the like. I was in my Iron Maiden tshirt and patched denim jacket, while he was wearing a cagoul.

Damn you, progress.

Yeah I miss quiggins there's a new one on renshaw street but it's only a shadow of it's former self. I avoid the new Liverpool 1 shopping centre like the plague and am very rarely in town it's all gone to shit now.

It's easiest to say "I'm a filmmaker", because I've done bits of everything! At the moment, I'm mainly doing camera work (DoP, camera assistant), although I'm currently writing a lot of screenplays, and I'm directing a feature-length sexy Psycho-horror movie in Summer.

The photo is from a trade-show this week; I helped set it all up, and couldn't resist a play with the Arri Alexa!

Nice....if that was me I would have requested a brown suit to wear.

Bizarre 04-05-2012 12:37 PM

Thanks!

Don't get me wrong, it was bloody terrifying but definitely worth it!

I also managed to raise over £200 for Cancer Research UK...

...which was nice.

:)

Yeah man, that's amazing. Especially for a great cause.
Occasionally I think that I'd like to try skydiving, but then I remember that I'm way too chicken.

Last Halloween (Yes, you may laugh, be my guest :))

http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...74571125_n.jpg

Need to think of something sweet to do this year. I was thinking Elvira or something, no one does that shit anymore I feel like.

Bizarre 04-06-2012 09:38 AM

How about Morticia Addams?

I'm thinking more Carolyn Jones than Anjelica Houston.

;)

hacelikewhoa 04-06-2012 11:17 AM

That's a good idea too. I just don't want to dress up as anything too typical, kinda takes the fun out of it. :)

newb 04-06-2012 05:44 PM

you got some great eyes there...you should go as Betty Davis in "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?"

Congratulations-I'd also be too scared to do that-I'm fine with rollercoasters but jumping out of a plane is not something I could do.

Elvis_Christ 04-10-2012 03:40 PM

Damn you're braver than me. I hate heights and an usually glued to my chair during flights so you won't catch me jumping out of a plane (unless it's on fire or something!).

Great stuff raising money for a good cause!

Bizarre 04-12-2012 07:47 AM

Thanks for all the kind words, they mean a lot.

And Hacelikewhoa - I think you'll look great whatever you go dressed as. I'm sticking with Morticia because I've always found her pretty foxy. Sometimes just going as something really out there is fun too, though. Get really gorific!

:)
