"Dodgeball" 8/10

3rd time i see this, but first time on DVD. Still cracks me up.

But what i want to mention/recommend from the dvd is actually the Commentary feature made by director Thurber, Vaughn & Stiller.
This is without a doubt the most messed up, crazy īn hilarious audio commentary iīve ever heard. Itīs kind of a little story in its own weird way with Vaughn being a delightful self-centred prick with a drinking problem.

Basically itīs Thurber, Vaughn & Stiller trashing each other thoughout the first 50 minutes of the commentary track and then......... Surprise, surprise. ;)

"Last house on the left" 5/10

Neither great or horrible.

Haute tension (Uncut)

I popped this into my DVD player last night with trepadation. I have heard some good things and a lot of bad so I had put off watching it until now...

I started watching around 1am last night and the wind was howling and the rain pouring ( typical Manchester weather) so I fugured it was a good time to watch a horror movie.

Within first 20 minutes I was hooked - it really did make me tense and the death scenes...just simply wow!

SPOILER

HOWEVER - I must agree with alot of people on this site. The ending for me spoilt it a little, I had a feeling something like that would come along because of all the mentions on here of a twist etc. I would have much preferred it if has been kept simple...ending with her killing him and closing on her screaming etc But, it didn't end this way, it was a shame as it spoilt it a bit but I still loved this movie.

8.5/10

shaun of the dead & domino, comedic british zombie film, chased with a bad ass bounty hunter film, with a side of keira knightley hotness.

*Spoilers*

Well here I sit at my computer, with my foot firmly planted in my mouth. While this wasn't a great film by any means, it completly and totally shattered my expectations. Cillian Murphy and Rachel McAdams were great toghether on screen, played off each other very nicely and had a great chemistry between them. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Mr. Murphy's character was the highlight of the film. He went from Mr. Gentleman to psycho in 2.5 seconds, which I thought was a nice transition. He didnt waste any time and got right to the point of the film, which I must say caught me off guard. A Hollywood movie that didn't waste time? Amazing! As the film wore on however, I started to remember that this was a Wes Craven movie; it had to go downhill sometime. The scene where Jackson headbutts Lisa, am I the only one that thinks people would notice that? How bout the infamous stabbing, how did she think that would help her situation? Seemed to me that it was just an excuse for Craven to throw in an overlong chase sequence. Last but not least, how about that missle near the end? That was some really bad CGI! Overall however, this was a fairly enjoyable film. Not to be taken seriously, but certainly an above-average diversion.
