Anthropophagus 08-06-2012 07:50 AM

I dont like scarring at all or branding.Call me simple but good old tats will do just fine for me.

Dara 08-06-2012 07:54 AM

I like scars to be real and have a story behind them so you can recreate the scene from Jaws with your friends!

wizard of gore 08-06-2012 11:51 AM

yeah i have a scar next to my eye where i got a bottle to the face,i get to tell a story every time someone asks....COOL AYE!!

Is it cursed? It seems to have stolen all the colour in your life :)

Dara 08-07-2012 04:33 AM

Isnt that Miffy? as opposed to kitty?(snigger...im not sure if the word Miff means the same over in America )but it made me laugh anyhoos!

Ferox13 08-08-2012 01:18 AM

Its actually 'kathy bunny' - its the only colour ink I have.

nightmare_of _death 09-07-2012 01:54 PM

i know i havent' been on here in forever, but i'd thought i'd come back, and hope to stay, even though some of you see me on fb. hehehe. well anyways i got a tattoo, and i'll tell you now i'll be getting more! https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...49415824_n.jpg

it's a tree that is half dead and in winter phase and half spring and alive. i wanted this as knowing and a reminder that things will always change for the better and that life is new. . i really love it. ! on its on the inner side of my right ankle. it didnt hurt as much as people said it would. but i do have a high pain tolerance

hammerfan 09-07-2012 03:03 PM

Very cool!

The Villain 09-07-2012 04:58 PM

Nice to see you in the forum Alex.

nightmare_of _death 09-08-2012 04:55 PM

thank you of you. i hope to be on more again. :D

Ferox13 09-08-2012 06:02 PM

I am considering getting a new one in the next month or so. I just started training again so I am torn between that and new ink.

I want to get to parallel bands around my right forearm. Its a simple looking tattoo but a bitch for the artist to get right.

ChronoGrl 09-08-2012 09:26 PM

^^ Any significance to the bars?

Just made an appointment to finish my left half sleeve with a peacock; unfortunately they're booked up to January and I want my tat noooooooooow.

No not this time.
That is some waiting list - who do u go to?

Anthropophagus 09-09-2012 12:27 PM

That is a short waiting list, around my place, the good ones are fully booked up for 18 months and more.

Redemption Tattoo in Cambridge: http://www.redemptiontattoo.com

They've gotten their fair share of positive local press so I think that's why they're so popular. Plus I'm seeing Erick who's the shop owner (and I think typically gets most of the requests) and I think he may be cutting down on his hours.

Ferox13 09-09-2012 04:41 PM

Erics stuff is really nice. I figured he was your artist before reading if further down the post.

horrorobsessed 09-13-2012 12:34 AM

This was my second tattoo. This was taken back in May the night it was done. It's the borg insignia from Star Trek. I have another tattoo on the base of my neck, but I don't have any recent or good pictures of it.

I hope my foot is scary because of the tattoo and not the fact that it's an awkward picture...

Yeah, I love his work. And he's great to work with, has a lot of pride in what he does and has a clear aesthetic. Plus his style is very old-school, which I love.

Ferox13 09-19-2012 02:43 AM

Not on me (obviously) but done by a guy I work with. I thought Chrono might appreciate, though the feline might be a bit hairsuite for her tastes:

OMG, that's amazing!

ChronoGrl 09-19-2012 04:04 AM

LOVE!

That's ridiculously cool and well-done. I dig how cartoony it is.

swiss tony 09-19-2012 02:04 PM

Here's the Black Goat of the Woods... on the inside my Lovecraft homage half sleeve. This pic is lifted from the artist (Rob Witczuk) FB page. I'll post pics of the rest - Lovecraft portrait, Cthulhu and the well from The Colour Out of Space. The background is the cosmos.

Complimenting ink and guns? I like you!!!:)

The horns are probably the best detail in the whole thing but, as luck would have it, they're in a spot only I get to see. Here's the portrait with Cthulhu's above and his arm HP's shoulder.

I plan to eventually carry on the sleeve to my forearm with The Outsider on the inside and Dagon on the front.

Pic looks pretty grainy. Trust me it looks better in real life!!!

ChronoGrl 09-20-2012 07:26 AM

That's pretty sick, Tony. Awesome ink.

Ferox13 09-21-2012 02:28 AM

Cool stuff. I always wanted a Lovecraft related tattoo but it wouldn't really fit with the rest of my stuff. Its a pity as I know an amazing artist who is a huge Lovecraft fan..

Since when does having sweet guns get interpreted as 'weird'? I suggest you apologise to Mr Smith or he and his friend Mr Wesson are gonna get mad:mad:

swiss tony 09-25-2012 06:31 AM

The colour in the matching birds on your back is good. It's hard to beat old skool tats on a girl. Is that sexist?:)

natthezombabeee 09-25-2012 06:40 AM

that picture is when I first got them so it was fresh as can be. they're faded a bit now they need some ink. and idk lol I love old school sailor tattoos.

My hairdresser has a sailor sleeve on her left arm with the anchors, mermaids, lighthouse, stars etc and it looks awesome. I think that's the sign of a good old skool artist, if the colours stay bright and the lines strong.

MLauryl 09-29-2012 09:18 AM

I have 11, but this is my most recent and the most meaningful to me: (left forearm)
