The OTHER Top Ten Movies
We already had over a hundred 'Whats your top 10' threads so I made one for you OTHER top ten. I was really wanting to know abnout Horror moves that not all people have seen and/or others don't like that you like, but oh well.
Primal Fear (just say it for the first time the other day. Great movie.) Tombstone (Till this day I keep saying 'I'll be your huckleberry.' And 'isn't that a daisy?') The Shining Independence Day U Turn (The main character dude has the most worst luck I've ever seen.) The Getaway (The one with Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger) Forrest Gump Jurassic Park Little Nicky (when I had PPV and no All day ticket I remember geting one of the biggest bills for renting that movie over and over.) Real Genius |
Great list other than Primal Fear, ID, and JP.

House on Haunted Hill ('99) aint too popular.....I can kinda see why, but If you havnt seen it, make a point to!!!! |
usal suspects ( most of the people i know who have seen this movie like it. its just not a lot of people have seen it. if ya know what i mean)
lonesome dove. best western ever jeepers creepers 1&2 ( just cause ya didn't really know when he was gonna get someone. unlike jason and micheal he didn't have to wait for some idiot t owalk off by themselves before he got them. plus in part two ya didn't who was gonna win) saloms lot the original movie with starsky in it. jaws. two hands ( its a australian movie so idoubt if any of ya all have seen it) any clint eastwood movie (except the bridges of maddison county) the first half of stephen kings it ( the second half had to many "i'm so fucked up in the head cause my life wasnt perfect so ineed to talk about it" gen x'ers in it for me) thats all ican think of for now. |

identity, LOVED IT! i dont think that got nearly as much credit as it deserved. perhaps if people actually understood psychology, maybe they wouldve enjoyed it rather than leaving the theater 'omg that was like so stupid'.. at least thats what i heard when I watched it. i think i can say that would be one of my top horrors, except its more suspense/thriller than horror. AHX: amazing. a movie every person should watch. and the floppy man parts was entertaining too. that and norton is beautiful slice of wonderbread in that movie. the curbing disturbs me though :( GDIS |

1) Papillon....Steve Mcqueen and Dustin Hoffman. The greatest escape story ever. 2)One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest.... One of Jacks best performances. 3)Once Upon a Time in the West.... Henry Fonda was such a coldhearted bastard. I'll never forget Charles Bronson and his harmonica. 4)The Godfather.... The best gangster movie of all time. Just look at some of the cast. Al Pachino, James Caan, Robert Duvall, Marlon Brando. 5)The Outlaw Josey Wales...Those damn Redlegs. 6)Gladiator... What can I say, Maximus. 7)Rebel Without a Cause... I never get tired of this James Dean movie. 8)Raiders of the Lost Ark... Good Adventure Movie. 9)The Cowboys.... Bruce Dern is on creepy villian. John Wayne dies in this one. Good story about becoming a man. 10)Pulp Fiction.... John Travolta and Samuel Jackson. They make one helluva team. |
Make that 11 top ten.
11) Jeremiah Johnson.... Robert Redford as the Indian Slayer. |
top 10 comedies
1) Monty Python and the Holy Grail 2) Dogma 3) Almost Famous 4) This Is Spinal Tap 5) MASH 6) The Producers (if you don't laugh during the first number of the show, you aren't human) 7) Who Framed Roger Rabbit 8) Ghostbusters 9) Wag The Dog 10) And this is where it gets tricky. Is Being John Malkovich a comedy? If it is, then 10 is Being John Malkovich. If you don't think BJM is a comedy and choose to not recognize it as such, then 10 is Parenthood. |
