A second saw?
Did the movie saw seem like they left it open for another one?

I saw the movie twice. I thought it was pretty good. I haven't seen a movie with that type of motive or plot. So it was interesting.
i would really truly hope they wouldnt do a sequel. its so beautiful as it is
theyve already announced a sequal got to www.upcominghorrormovies.com
release date of oct. 28 2005 is the only news though |
I loved this movie. I went to see saw twice...hehe...sorry, bad Shade! No puns! No puns! But I can honestly say that I would despise a sequal. I mean come on. The entire movie built up to one amazing ending. The mystery and suspence just isn't there if you continue it. Sequals kill movies.

"Sequals kill movies."
- Yes, they do...but they also make money off the good people that are gullible/optimistic enough to think that just maybe it'll be half as good as the first one, as they liked that too...As long as this is the case, Sequel-Land remains open all hours. Not that ALL sequels are bad...we almost inevitably end up watching sequals to the films we love eventually, regardless. |
actually, I heard that they are going to make s sequel and have it ready for Halloween '05.....
goddamn! i haven't had a chance to catch the first one yet and already another, is this serious?
Oh boy...I smell a franchise...
Aw! there's no way a sequel could beat that! I thought the movie was brilliant! A second would just ruin the first..:(
Havent seen the first, although i plan to. I heard it was excellent and kept you guessing. But maybe we need a new franchise. New horror has been sucking moose balls lately. I have heard from everyon that i spoke to that it was awesome.
i thought the movie was cool...i espically liked the part when the doc went crazy and began sawing his leg off. EXCELLENT!
Wow! My opinion is just about the exact opposite of everyone elses here.
I didn't really like the first one. It started good, had a lot of potential... Then by the end, there were so many unfilled plotholes, I was left like... "What the fuck, that was stupid." I think a sequal is very neccesary to this movie because the first one didn't really explain shit well. Don't get me wrong, 'SAW' was pretty good for a modern horror movie, but it wasn't as cool as they made it look in the trailers. (Still better than Seed of Chucky though.) |
it'll never be as good as the first IMO
Rumored title is "Saw II: Sawer". That's almost as bad as Denist 2: BRACE YOURSELF.
hm..i just wouldnt think it would be right.
If they go for a prequel I doubt it be too exciting & have all those kool self torture scenes because we already saw each scene from the first movie. If they go for a sequal it would be stupid because we know who the killer is & the whole aspect of finding out the killer would be major poo poo. |
