Is there any truth to the fact JC has been directing films under a different name?

Very, very few people know about it, but yes, Carpenter has been directing films under the pseudonym of "Brian DePalma" for quite some time now.

Fucking hell, is that true. I didn't have a clue.

I know Carpenter often writes script under different names.

i used to get pisses at depalma because it seems like all he did was rip off hitchcock claiming he was 'paying homage' to him.

I figured you could get away with that once .. but 3 times ?

now that i'm older and mellower .. i really dont care as much ..

if they can afford to make a film... let them make whatever they want..

There was some buzz a year or two ago about a remake of the THING, or something. Did anyone catch the "REMAKE" of Assult on Precinct 13?
