Odd Pregnancy Cravings
 

When I was pregnant with Wicked Lady, I HAD to have Taco Bell Burrito Supremes, usually in the middle of the night, every night...I also had to have lots of spinach........And the thing that made me sick (although I usually love it) was Pizza...Smelling pizza would make me feel like I was gonna vomit...and even pizza commercials made me feel nauseous...


With Demon Seed...What I had to have was mashed potatoes with gravy, and macaroni and cheese......It was peanut butter that made me sick..That was when they had those PB Max commercials on about every 30 minutes, those REALLY got me sick...


Anyway...Your body is supposed to make you crave things that the baby needs....I understand the spinach, as Wicked Lady was born with a slight iron deficiency...I do NOT get the rest...

As for the pickles and ice-cream thing everyone is supposed to crave, I'd say that the ice-cream would be for calcium, but the pickles don't make sense....And I would never eat such a thing...Pregnant or not...


So...Have any of you, your mothers, friends or relatives, ever experienced any weird cravings, or strange sudden aversions to the foods you normally like, during pregnancy?...

i can tell you what my wife craved BEFORE she got pregnant :D

I thought you'd have plenty of stories...with all your kids.....No running out in the middle of the night for something she just HAD to have?

When my sister was pregnant, she only wanted to eat ice cream cakes and ice cream sandwiches...

I got sick of lookin' at em after a week.

When i was pregnant, i always wanted peanutbutter and pickle sandwiches

I crave weird shit anyway....never been pregnant, don't know if I even can get that way:(

I can tell you one thing my wife DIDN'T crave when she was pregnant.

Considering I had four kids....it wasn't that funny at the time. Lots of callouses.

Oh...btw...Is THAT normal?...To have an aversion to sex during pregnancy?....Because...I don't seem to have THAT problem either:p

lol...I thought you had more (the picture on the boat at the falls)....Oh well...I never had morning sickness either...I just threw up one time...It was weird, because I didn't even feel sick when it happened :confused:

Of course I FELT like I was gonna throw up, just because of the aforementioned food aversions....

I was in the state of mind of a pregnant woman :D

Or maybe i was high...:rolleyes: :cool:

I would get the strangest craving for peeking duck smothered in greasey goodness or I would crave fried turkey mmmmm.

Awww...and too far away.....Wait a minute...That whole spinal cord thing woulda scared the hell outta me...lol

Ugh..I could NOT eat greasy stuff....Heartburn Hell...

Makes the delivery much easier.....the kid would just slide out.

That reminds me...I can't have kids that way...Gotta have c-sections...Kinda sux........Oh well, it's only one more time :)

By the time my wife got to number four, it was a piece of cake [ for me anyway ], the kid practically fell out when she farted.
