yes, I know that this should go in the games forum, but if i put it there, no one would look at it. ok here's how it goes. Name the year that you think the best games came out in, athen name those games.

1998:

GAMES THAT REVOLUTIONIZED GAMING.
Half Life, Rainbow Six, Unreal, , Quake III Arena, GoldenEye
they all came out in '98

97' for Final Fantasy 7

Halo,Devil may cry and Grand theft auto....2001

Mothman is 100% correct. 98 had amazing year, all the RPG's in 98 are great too. Diablo, Fallout 2.

sorry guys, but i think i'll lend my expertise here, the greatest year in videogames was 1977, the year atari came out... yeah '98 was my personal favorite, but 1977 is the year of the original console, that revolutionized gamin m'friends, and thats why it's the greatest year of them all

'98 is claimed by many sources to be one of the most groundbreaking years in the history of First Person Shooters.

Blood II: The Chosen, Vigalance(No a FPS, but still really fun) Trespasser (still stands even to today's stardards as one of the most interactive enviroments in a game ever created) and so many more that slip my mind

need to keep goin' back to doom, cuz thats the one that started it boss

i never said the first, i said the best for gaming chump, because doom was the best for changing, and created cheaters in FPS's as we know them today, because the code was so easy to re-write

i say x-box is way better than ps2, but this time around, the x-box 360 seems outgunned and outclassed, hardware and graphics wise compared to the ps3... i think i'll give this battle to the ps3... even tho i am a die hard halo player, and i hate to admit it, ps3 takes this one
