christmas

now it's time to make a christmas thread. merry christmas everybody. don't really know wat to talk about with christmas in it. does anybody remember all of santa's reindeers' names? I don't.

mictlan 11-29-2003 05:33 PM

Well, what's the best Christmas movie? Don't even say Miracle on 34th or that one with Jimmy Stewart. Horror or just weird.

Check out Santa Claus Conquers the Martians sometime. Pia Zadora (at 12!) is in it. Great theme song, truly cheesy.

I haven't seen Black Christmas yet but hope to this year.

Christmas Evil is public domain so should be pretty easy to get hold of. It's been a while but I remember this guy dressed up as Santa Claus going around killing people who pissed him off... not in a slasher way, just pathetically. He has this crappy white van with a crude sleigh spray-painted on the side, and the kids lie to the police about where he is because they think he is Santa! I won't reveal the ending but it's so worth the wait.

MichaelMyers 11-29-2003 05:43 PM

Maybe we should all make out our lists of what we want for Christmas. For me, it's a whole shit loada DVD's, some action figures, books, and comics, too specific to name here.

bloodrayne 11-29-2003 05:51 PM

Isn't this a "HORROR" board?

Silent Night, Deadly Night...Best Christmas horror movie....

FreddyFan 11-29-2003 08:07 PM

I agree with bloodrayne that silent night, deadly night was the best christmas horror movie. speaking of christmas horror movies why don't we say our favorites. I myself have onl seen silent night, deadly night. I am dying to see Black Christmas. But of course they don't have it at my local blockbusters.

juanhacko 11-29-2003 08:29 PM

Christmas Horror

My favorite horror Christmas Movie is "Home for the Holidays." Starring Walter Brennan, Sally Field, Jessica Walter--yes it is a horror flick. Also starred Julie Harris, she is a horror herself!

FreddyFan 11-29-2003 08:42 PM

wats it about?

juanhacko 11-29-2003 09:26 PM

Home--Christmas

Home For The Holidays is about a totally disfunctional family--all of family hates second wife--Julie Harris, who supposedly murdered her first husband.
Sally Field is her usual sweet self as the youngest daughter--the oldest daughter is just like a mother to everyone.
Trapped by a rainstorm, two murders are commited, and the film has a very suprise ending.
Alcohol,drugs, nymphomania,etc.

I gotta agree. Bill Murray was great in this one.

Yes, but no one specified that it had to be horror. The Ghost of Christmas Future was damn scary.

FreddyFan 12-02-2003 02:51 PM

You should ask Santa for a new TV...When he comes down the chimney make sure you've got a roaring fire going with some black, wrought iron spikes sticking up from the grate...When he hits, close the flue so he can't go back up...Open all the windows, as this will cause smoke to fill the house...When he stops screaming, open the flue back up and close the windows...When he's good and crispy (not too burnt on the outside, still squishy on the inside), pull him out onto the hearth to cool...Go up on the roof, take EVERYTHING out of the sleigh, scare off the reindeer with a loud horn blast (bells and yelling won't work, they're used to that) so that there won't be any evidence of the location of Santa's LAST STOP EVER...You'll get your TV, tons of other new stuff, AND enough Christmas dinner to feed the whole family!!!

Oh, but do me a favor and wait until AFTER he stops at MY house, Okay?...:D :D :D

Yes I can. Another classic Larry Drake character.

ShamSham04 12-04-2003 09:35 AM

I remember having some friends over to watch Christmas Evil. The movie bored the heck out of me. Maybe it's because we had the volume turned down low and were talking most of the time, but I was very bored throughout it.

I did catch a couple of cool scenes, however. The scene where a guy gets stabbed with a toy soldier's sword was pretty cool. The eye gushing out was gross. And then the part where some dude gets his neck sliced by a Christmas star. Very cool.

The best Christmas horror movie I have ever seen is One Hell Of A Christmas, but one of my favorite movies ever, not just for the Christmas season, would be...

A Christmas Story.

VenomX 12-04-2003 09:46 AM

Not really scary, but wierd as hell...Nightmare Before Christmas.
