Scariest Stephen King Mini series

"IT" scared the living crap out of me!!!

avenger00soul 12-05-2003 07:17 AM

Well, The Stand is my favorite but It was scarier.

Not that it was any good, but you forgot Sometimes They Come Back.

MichaelMyers 12-05-2003 07:31 AM

The Stand. Gary Senese (Leiutenent Dan!) is a great actor.

D'Lo 12-07-2003 09:08 AM

My favourite has to be 'The Stand'. Great story and a great cast including Gary Sinise, Rob Lowe, Ossie Davis, Miguel Ferrer, Corin Nemec, Ed Harris... It even featured a cameo by Sam Raimi! It came on TV here when I was about 14 and I loved it! I recently bought it on DVD. Still a great mini-series...

I guess you didn't see the three-night version of this starring Steven Weber.

SoUl SuRvIvOrS 12-07-2003 04:56 PM

The Stand in my opinion

I liked it alot, i like the original alot too though. without Nickolson the first one really pales in comparison.

Now wait a minute Arioch. You can't tell me the little kid in the second one is better than the one from the original. The kid in the second one is an annoying little bastard. I would have crushed his skull with a mallet. Also, Scatman Crothers is a way cooler actor than Melvin Van Peelbes.

Tommyknockers

Anybody remember the "Tommyknockers?"
It was my favorite.
I also found IT, and the Stand interesting, but the "langoliers" sucked.

juanhacko 12-08-2003 07:37 PM

LOT

Sorry to reply to my own post.
I did like "Salem's Lot.", but I liked the book better than the movie.
Oddly enough, I bought my copy of the book at a VERY conservative church parking lot sale!

coldwhisper 12-08-2003 08:53 PM

MUST agree with Avenger the kid was annoying as hell..I could think of a couple choice things to give him and cookies and milk were not included...UMMMM my boot to the skull..sounds tempting when I think of it...:D

I'm glad someone agreed with me. Everytime I looked at him I imagined him picking his nose (cuz he was that kid in the Little Rascals that was always diggin in his nose with a pencil). Little bastard.
