We are currently in preproduction on our latest film - "No. My Other Possessed Zombie Girlfriend." Just a teaser thus far - key word, teaser.

in a few moments this thread will be loaded with accusations of "spamming" and "pimping" but let me add a calm and reflective word before the melee -

this 'teaser' is wretched, about as alluring as a leper with a coldsore, and about as frightening as soggy toilet paper.

leave the spamming to professionals and go to film school and learn something (for the love of god. . . learn something)

..havnt I seen this spam somewhere else...

zero - in no way was I trying to "pimp" this film, I am just trying to get people to view the teaser. If they like it great (yes, some have praised it) - if not, that's cool too. I did not make this film, I am producing it - someone else wrote it and is directing it. I would love to see your senior thesis project from film school - no, I'm not being smart - I would really like to view it. If it's available online please post the link.

it was about a rich newspaper magnate who dies and a reporter tries to figure out what his last words meant . . . its mainly told in flashbacks. . . i forget the exact title but its been shown in a few places. . . oh, and it had a sled in a prominent role

Alright 2 things...

First of all, this IS spam. The definition of spam is someone showing up here (or at any other website) with the sole intention of getting people to look at their stuff.

Second of all, I wouldn't go as far as Zero did, but I do think they trailer could use a little work. (Like maybe showing some of the actors, zombies, FX or gore. Just so we can get an idea of what to expect.) I did however like the use of sound in the trailer. The song was good and then when the song ends and the screen goes black, the sound effects used right there sounded cool too.

What was the film's budget?

I am glad a few of you have checked out the trailer and given me some feedback - it is appreciated (yes, even you zero - I appreciate any feedback good or bad). bwind22 - thanks for being constructive - the reason you don't see any actors, FX, etc. is because we are still in prepoduction at this point - hence the teaser - we will hopefully have a real trailer available soon - actors, FX, etc. As for the budget, we are shooting on a Canon XL1s which we already own, along with lights, dollies, everyone's working for free, own a PowerMac with FCP, etc - so we are hoping to keep the budget under a couple thousand dollars (which is basically food, locations, transportation, and make-up).

Here is were I post something obscene and maybe a picture with some flunkie flipping you off telling you that you and your film sucks but its been done before. so......

hmmm 4 posts all about the film you're not here to pimp, spam, etc. but want everyone to see. Someone else wrote it, someone else directed it and I suppose someone else spammed it here as well. You have an interest in the film as producer. You're not a member prior to these posts. Do the math. You ARE spamming.

I already said I was sorry for being a spammer - I just didn't know what I was doing was considered spamming at the time I posted. Most message boards are very open to seeing new indie shorts, trailers, etc.

Gotcha. That's cool. We just finished filming a slasher flick on a similar budget that is now in post production. Once you have the normal trailer ready to roll, I'll give it another look. I've always been a fan of low budget horror and now that I've actually done one, I have even more respect for it as a sub-genre. Making a movie is not as easy as it seems at first glance.

Ours was cheaper since he isn't counting the budget for equipment. Ours clocked in at about $1k and just to keep the trend going.....
