Go to rottentomatos.com select horror as your genre and hit search. Then sort by year. Omits a lot of em' it seems unless you just select horror/suspense and then click through the names and look at the year.

KING KONG (the Jackson remake) -- total cinematic experience. Whatever your criticisms, you gotta admit they gave it all they had!

Second place: THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE
I expected a cheap rip-off here. No way. Nice formula. Very well done. The dialogue rang true. Lots of subtle thrills. If you say you want a movie that doesn't rely on special effects, this is it.

Your deffinantly not the first person to disagree w/ my opinion on this film. I was exageratting when I said it blowed. It wasnt that bad but it deffinatly wasnt that good of a film either. First off the PG-13 rating automatically made me question this film. But i went to the theatres and watched it anyway. After watching the movie i was pretty disgusted about how everything was presented w/in the film. Especially the courtroom scenes. The sounds and pictures of the film werent presented well either. But thats just my opinion. My gf loved this film, and i have to deal w/ her everyday bickering about how good it was. But anyway that reminds me..

Cant say it was the best of the year, but,that sean in the Exorsist the beggining when that older kid at the well was attacked by the jackles, freeked the hell out of me.Just that sean alone made the movie worth while.
